Border characters

Hello,

I've written a small application and I'm running it in the console window of a VM in vSphere. This is the web based vSphere client (version 7.0.2.00200 ).

When the window(s) are rendered, the border characters that the border renderer chooses are l (lower case letter L), q, k, j, m and x instead of characters that form lines.

In other terminals, the borders are rendered correctly, but this terminal is different.

How can I change this behavior so that the borders appear as intended?
