Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that does not discriminate, striking people of all ages by attacking the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. Messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. MND affects how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Tragically, on average, one person dies every four days from MND in Ireland and the majority of people die within 1,000 days of being diagnosed.
The IMNDA is the primary support and research organisation for individuals and families coping with the effects of MND in Ireland. Key services include home visiting by an MND dedicated nurse, financial assistance towards home care and the provision of specialist medical equipment on loan to clients.
With your generosity and support we aim to raise at least €30,000 for specialist MND home care & equipment
We pledge 50% of funds raised on the night will be committed to IMNDA home carers and 50% will be dedicated to IMNDA equipment used in support of their duties.
As the organisers are spread across various firms in Dublin, we expect the event to sell out very quickly and places are limited to 700, so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like tickets or to book a table! Also, I've probably (inadvertently) missed out a few people in sending this email around, so feel free to pass it on.
| Priority Booking Please note that ticket availability is strictly limited. For more information, or to reserve your table/ticket(s) with priority wristband access in advance, contact: Paul Harvey via pharve...@gmail.com and 0863694379 |
