Mrs. Shamila Rangika Kumarapeli, who bears the National Identity Card no 845933375v at ‘Sahangira’, Temple Junction, Kirimetiyana, Lunuvila is suffering from a severe chronic kidney disease and the specialist doctors are of the view that an immediate kidney transplantation is urgent to save her life.
She got married in 2010 and she had to be in the De Soyza Maternity Hospital as a residential patient for continuous medical treatment as her delivery day approached and thereafter her condition worsened. At present, she undergoes Dialysis treatments every other two day at ‘National Institute for Nephrology, Dialysis, & Transplantation’ at 349, Jayantha Weerasekara Mawatha, Maligawaththa, Colombo – 10. which should be continued until she will have a kidney transplant, according to Consultant Nephrologist Anura Hewageegana, in the Nepherology Unit. According to him, dialysis cannot be carried out for a long period and a kidney transplant is required to save her life.
She has not even been able to breastfeed her newly born child and because of that her husband has deserted her as well. She is eagerly awaiting to undergo these operations as she have a desire to lead a normal life as a young mother who does not want to deprive the love of a mother to her only little child who has already deprived the love of a father.
It requires a great deal of money for her current treatments. To obtain a kidney and post transplantation treatments, a large sum of money will have to be spent. The costs of treatment so far have entirely wiped out hard earned savings of her parents and have resulted in building up significant debt. Her only brother, who even doesn’t have a permanent job bears all the expenses with greatest of difficulty now. There is no other option for her father and brother to sell their only property to save her.
Both her father and brother have offered themselves to grant either of their kidneys but they have failed the medical tests. If you kind people have the ability to contribute to help their plight, you can donate as much to the bank account opened under her father’s name. However small much the amount you grant will contribute to save her life.

මගේ නම ශමිලා රන්ගිකා කුමරපේලි. මට දැන් වයස අවුරුදු 28 යි. මම මාස 07 ක් වයසැති බිළිදියකගෙ අම්ම කෙනෙක්. මම කාලෙක ඉඳල දරුනු වකුගඩු රොගයකින් පෙලෙනව.
මගේ අසනීපෙ නිසා මගෙ මහත්තයත් මාව අත ඇරල ගිහින් දැන් මාස 04ක් වෙනව. නමුත් එයා ගැන මගෙ හිතෙ කිසිම වෛරයක් නැහැ. එයත් මව බේර ගන්න සෑහෙන මුදලක් වියදම් කරන්න ඇති. දැනට මම මගෙ අම්ම තාත්ත ගාව ඉන්නෙ . ඒ දෙන්නම දැන් ඒ ගොල්ලන් කරපු රෑකියාවල් වලින් විශ්‍රාම අරගෙන ඉන්නෙ.ඒ ගොල්ලන්ට විශ්‍රාම වැටුප් නැහැ.ඒ වෙනුවට ලැබුනු අර්ථසාදක අරමුදලෙනුත්, මගෙ එකම සහොදරගෙ මාසෙ පඩියෙනුත් තමයි එයාල ජීවත් වෙන්නෙ.මගේ පවුලෙ ඉන්නෙ මමයි අයියයි විතරයි. මගේ අයියගෙ නම අසේල. එයාට වයස අවුරුදු 29 යි. තාම බැඳල නැහැ. මං වෙනුවෙන් කැපවෙලා ඉන්න හින්ද එයා ඒ ගැන කතා කරනවට වත් කැමති නැහැ. පුත්ගලික ආයතනයක තමා වැඩ කරන්නෙ. ඒක ස්ථීර රැකියාවකුත් නෙමේ.

ගෙවල් දොරවල් පව උගස් කරල රටටම ණයවෙලා දැන් කරගන්න දෙයක් නැතුවයි ඉන්නෙ.
