These days with all the driving conditions and rules and so on we have
taken to cabs. My question is do the meters work properly ? Recently I
went in a cab and the meter seemed quite a bit fast. I've taken other
cabs from the same two locations but most of them don't really match
compared to each other even though the same route was taken.

If you had to recommend a few honest cabs, and not too expensive cabs
what would they be ? Would help a lot as I take a lot of cabs now, and
even if the meter is fixed arguing with the driver is no use as their
bosses are the ones that set them.

If taking a trishaw and your not sure of the rate, I would recommend
first calling a cab company ask them the rate for your destination, and
then drop that amount by a bit and negotiate the trishaw driver. If you
don't get a good rate you know you can wait some time for a cab or
you get a cheaper deal than the cab. This works for me as I'm not too
sure of the rates to most locations.

Adios
