Cricket club not good anymore

The food used to be great there, but now it's going way down in
quality. The place was always packed, still is, but I don't think it
would be for much longer, prices have gone up and quality has gone
down. Hope they do it up, as this is one place you can have a beer all
day long.
I was wondering how come cricket club gets to serve alcohol all day
long and all other places can't ? Someone told me as a foreigner is
running the place, they get go on a different license and
establishment class, but I don't believe that. Is it that an
additional amount can be paid to have it possible to serve all day
long or is there something else.
Well I just wondered as when I was on holiday in Lanka for Christmas
holidays that was the only place I knew other than the hotels that
served during the day, but I guess you just have to pay an additional
fee and they allow.
What's would be another place which has food like cricket club used
to, to go and eat at ? I liked the burgers there.
