Celebrating a fun class, great company, and some sun on our skin with some homemade komboucha (in mint and cinnamon flavours!) after class this weekend.
I have two fun and unusual balances to share with you.
One is a variation of doing splits or a lunge but lying on your side. It is much harder than it looks and requires that you first be able to lie on your side without falling over.
People have said we look like a pod of whales or seals. But it reminds me of side lying buddha statues all over Sri Lanka. From there it turns into something like this.

We have another posture that I hope we can all practice and then be photographed in as a human sculpture garden!
Have fun with these ones! One of my favourite things about both of these balances is they make everyone laugh. It is a joy to hear and see so much laughing.
