Dear Yogis,

Hope all is well.  I just had the privilege of teaching a whole batch of students at the Canberra Yoga Festival.  We did lots of spinal movement, dispelled some common misconceptions about core strength and spinal movement, and had a whole lot of fun.  I will be sharing that fun in my upcoming April yoga retreat.  Hope to see you there.  Please contact Tilak (ti...@antsglobal.lk or 0773 912 100) if you are interested.  Book by next week to be assured of a spot! More details on my blog:http://yogacafelk.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/april-2016-retreat.html

Meanwhile, I have written some new posts.  One is all about groins and armpits and how you can use them to fir your tummy, lengthen your spine, and possibly come into bakasana.  Whether you do or not depends a lot on how good you can get your kneeling plank.  When you work kneeling plank the way I suggest in this video you will see that it is no longer a 'resting' version of full plank.  Try it and let me know!

Then, I have a sequence to really challenge those hips.  If you do this with precision you will surely support better hip stability and mobility.  It is pretty tough but remember not to strain or overdo yourself.

Hope to see you soon.  Happy and safe practicing.

Much metta,
Samantha
