Dear Yogis,

Last week I presented a few sessions at the Canberra Yoga Festival.  I taught a silent class and then a spinal movement class to a group of people who had never done anything like that.  One student came up to me and apologised for sitting out the last bit of the silent class because, she explained, she was having too many thoughts in her head.  It prompted me to write this post about silence.

We are privileged to have my teacher Paddy in Australia at the moment.  I am going to her weekend workshop in Townsville the ANZAC day long weekend.  If you know anyone in Australia who would like to join please pass on the details.  Paddy is an amazing yoga teacher and I am privileged that I had the benefit of her insights into spinal movement from almost the very beginning of my yoga practice.  She is a most humble and amazing human being as well.

Below is Paddy doing her stuff.  Don't be scared.  You will not be able to do an extreme back bend like her but what you will learn is how to move your spine so it dances! I have attached a flyer but feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

There are still a few places left on my April retreat.  We have about a dozen signed up--all ready for a lovely time together of yoga, lazy brunches, swimming, relaxing, smiling and just sharing some good will.  Feel free to email me or get in touch with Tilak who is doing an excellent job of organising!

Much metta,
Samantha
