ඔන්න මම sample logo එකක් හැදුවා. හොඳද බලන්න, මලින්තයි ශ්‍රීශානුයි හදන ඒවත් එවන්න.

මම ජාතික කොඩියෙ ඉන්න සිංහයව තෝර ගත්තෙ ඒක ඕන තැනක ඕන කෙනෙකු‍ට ලේසියෙන් ලංකාවෙ කියල අඳුර ගන්න පුලුවන් නිසා.

පාට නම් මට හිතිච්ච ඒවා.

එකම කරකවල තියෙන්නෙ. (few variations)

පැහැදිලි කිරීම:

මූලික සංකේතය හැටියට සිංහල පාදයක් භාවිතා කළා. එහි වර්ණ ඇති සහ නැති ලෙසත්, සිංහපාදය ඇති ආකාරය වෙනස් කිරීමෙනුත් විවිධාකාර ලාංඡන කීපයක් නිර්මාණය කළා.

සිංහ පාදය -
"සිංහයා" යන්න ඉතිහාසය පිළිබඳව ඇති විවිධ මතිමතාන්තර සෑම එකක්ම සංකේතවත් කරන්න පුළුවන් සළකුණක් කියල හිතුනා. හැමෝම දන්න මහාවංශයේ කතාව අනුව අප පැවත එන්නෙ සිංහයෙකුගෙන්. එයට අමතර තවත් මතයක් නම් සිංහ ලාංඡනය ලංකාවේ (මෙන්ම බැබිලෝනියාව ආදී ශිෂ්ඨාචාර වලත්) භාවිතා කර ඇත්තේ "සූර්යයා" (සූර්ය දෙවියන්) සංකේතවත් කිරීමට. මෙරටට බුදු දහම ඒමට පෙර සූර්ය දෙවියන් වන්දනා මාන කළ බවට සාධක තියනව. අදටත් පවතින සිංහල අවුරුද්ද එහි එක් අංගයක් තමයි. අදටත් අපේ අය සූර්යයා මුල් කරගෙන බොහෝ කටයුතු සිදුකරනවා. (ගොවි තැනේදී ආදිය)

ඉතින් මේ සඳහන් කළ බොහොමයක් අදහස් සංකේතවත් කරන්න පුළුවන් එක සංකේතයක් ලෙස සිංහයා (මෙහිදී සිංහ පාදය) ගතහැකි යැයි සිතුවා. මේ සියල්ලට අමතරව, ලංකාවේ සුවිශේෂී ස්ථානයක් වන සීගිරියේ සිංහ පාදය තමයි මූලිකවම අදහසට තුඩු දෙනු ලැබුවේ.

සිංහ පාද දෙකක් මැදිකර වචන ඇති ලාංඡනයේ, එයින් මණ්ඩපය යන්නටත් යම් අරුතක් එක් වෙතැයි සිතුනා.

Hi all,

Until we decide on our domain name, I did (cutmized) the logo for LHP. Again there r 2 options, with and without reflection. Though I put the reflection in the 1st shy, I feel it seems bit too much. So this time I thought to do without one as well. Wat u guys think?

We can use the reflection where ever is needed for design purpose, but the original logo won't carry it. Any ideas?

Yeh that's good :) and shall we have "history portal" text in different typo? something like Trebuchet MS or some sans serif?

I tried other sans serif fonts as well. But this part in the same font as LANKA, still looks ok to me (my last post). I do understand ur idea, but here it seems not coming out well.

Chamara, what do u think? What r others ideas?
