Several members of the JPS Family recently lost one of their loved ones, Blanchie Price Sutton. Mrs. Sutton was the mother of Dr. Shemeka McClung, principal at Lanier; Sheline S. Jones, counselor at Clausell; Shevon S. Hall, Open Doors teacher at Siwell; and Shedrick S. Sutton, network analyst.
Ms. Sutton's sisters include Hattie Williams at Wilkins and Alma Rogers at Brinkley. She is also the aunt of Vickie Patrick, office manager at Forest Hill; JoAnne Owens, administrative secretary, Elementary Ed Office; and Curtis J. Patrick, student at Siwell. Her grandchildren include Shelisa Sutton and Anthony Jones, students at Clausell, and Madison McClung, a student at Van Winkle. She was also the great aunt of Martavious Owens, student at Casey, and of Jaden and Makalyn Williams, students at Timberlawn.

Westhaven Funeral Home will be handling arrangements. The funeral is scheduled for this Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.. The services will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1304 Raymond Rd. Jackson, MS. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Subject: Passing of Lanier 1982 Classmate Sylvester Hughes
Mr. President.
Vincent Hughes told Classmate Chris Lewis today that People's Funeral Home
will be handling the body for Sylvester. I think his body will ready for
viewing Friday. The funeral will be held Saturday, 3 October 2009, at St.
John Baptist Church, on the corner of Medgar Evers Blvd., and Northside
Drive. I believe this is the same church where Scott Ford is a member. The
funeral will be at 2:00pm.
