Hotspot Not Working Windows 11

Tryingto use my Iphone hotspot out and about and it will not show on my wifi settings on my laptop. Have tried running network adapters troubleshooter and switching airplane mode on and off again on both devices. I can connect to other iphone hotspots on the laptop and my hotspot shows for other laptops. Any advice?

Yes, it's turned on. Yes, the settings are all correct. Yes, I reset the phone's network. Nothing makes it show up on the Windows machine. It *does* show up on my ipad, so it's broadcasting the hotspot's name. But Windows 11 does not seem to see it. Tried everything on both iphone and laptop. Nothing. The only way to connect via my phone's connection is with a usb connection. Anyone have any ideas?

I connected using bluetooth. I turned it on on both devices and connected the laptop to the iphone. Then I went to 'bluetooth and devices' on my laptop and the devices were displayed on the screen. On the picture where the iPhone was shown, I clicked on the three dots and selected 'connect to a personal short-range network'. On the bottom right of the screen, where the Wi-Fi icon would normally be, a different image is now displayed, but the internet is working for me.

In my case, I found that Windows 11 wants you to go an extra step. Maybe 3 or 4 steps, if a click is a step. You now have to go into Settings > Bluetooth & devices, and lo, your enabled iPhone hotspot should be there, THEN you have to open up the properties ellipses for the device, where you will see a "Join Personal Area Network (PAN)" link that pops out.

Click that link, THEN another link is presented in a "Bluetooth Personal Area Network" window. (sigh) And in That Thing, there is a dropdown selection list with a single item. This is labelled "Access Point" click that and then of course, click the "Connect" button that appears under there and now, now my friend, after a great sampler of possible widgets - you are in business.

On the device that you want to connect, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and look for your iPhone or iPad in the list. Then tap the Wi-Fi network to join. If asked, enter the password for your Personal Hotspot."

I was having this issue, checking my Windows 11 tablet prior to travelling. I found that for the iPhone to appear on the list of available networks, it needs to be on a 4G network, not the normal (home) Wifi. Once you open the Settings / Personal Hotspot screen, you will see that the phone switches from WiFi to 4G (or presumably 5G). Once this happens, the iPhone network connection appears more reliably on the list of Available Networks on the Windows 11 device.

Brand new IPhone 15 Pro here and I have the same issue, and everything online is useless to fix it. My hotspot is invisible to share it with others (but it works with my MacBook), for example I recently tried unsuccessfully to connect a Samsung TV, sooo annoying!!! And the this is the top tier smartphone in the market. I had to remove the SIM card and put it in my old Galaxy S10 that now I keep in my bag for all my trips to be able to get an internet hotspot that is reliable.

I used to use Intel My Wifi Technology to turn my Window 7 laptop into WiFi hotspot so that my Android phone can connect to my laptop and use the Internet connection to download apps. Somehow it is not working any more. I can see on laptop the connection gets on and off constantly, and my Android phone does not locate the WiFi hotspot any more.

Remember that your Wifi card is required to be turned on. If you set this corectly you can find your virtual wifi in your network center > network adapters (or something like that). Now you can easy edit it's settings like ICS and share your Internet !

If you are connected to the hotspot and you have enabled the sharing in the Source connection (the one which is source of internet), by selecting the name mentioned below the hotspot you made( It will be like wireless connection 1 or wireless connection 2 and so on). Than in that case click the ICS (Internet connection sharing) setting and check all check Boxes. Follow step by step as below

1. Although your computer is connected trough LAN connection, in Settings Network & internet, switch Wifi to ON and connect your computer to 5GHz WiFi band (so now, your computer is connected to Internet trough Ethernet and Wifi 5Ghz).

Sorry, but I don't have other ideas. Could be that there is some specific problem with AX200 on Windows 11. For me Mobile Hotspot 5GHZ and 2.4 GHZ working on Windows 11. I've checked on three NUC computers running on Windows 11. Two computers with AC 8265 adapter and the third with AX 201. See the attached image.

Just to let you know, the Intel wireless drivers are generic, meaning they might or might not work with your system. For that reason, we always recommend to install the wireless driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was customized by them to work with your specific platform.

I looked on MSI's website, and even though they have some drivers available for Windows* 11, there is no wireless driver available for that operating system, which indicates it might not be validated yet as fully compatible with the board, at least in reference to Wireless drivers.

Even though you mention "Unfortunately I cannot test case with mobile hotspot on windows 10." Still, they do have a wireless driver available for Windows* 10, version 22.70.1.1, for testing purposes you can always try a clean installation of that driver following the instructions in the links below, even if you are using Windows* 11:

If you do not remember the random driver properties that you changed, that is no problem, please let us know so we can do further research on this matter, keeping in mind that the root of the issue could be related to incompatibility between the Operating System and the platform being used.

Just in case, you can always get in contact directly with the manufacturer of your Router in order to be able to configure it manually and set the 149, 153, 157, 161, 165 channels with a frequency of 5 GHz, or at least one of them and then try to use the 5GHz mobile hotspot.

I just received an update on this matter. Just to let you know, actually, in different countries/regions the band 5GHz is not supported yet, and when is implemented, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) release BIOS updates/drivers to enable the support. You mentioned that maybe Russian restrictions are applied to your country, and yes, that is a possibility since 5GHz hotspot is still not supported in Russia.

Since the Operating System (OS) is involved too, the best thing to do at this point would be to make sure that the BIOS, OS, and other drivers are up to date and to check with the ISP (Internet Service Provider) directly about the support of the 5GHz hotspot in your country.

But when i start my oculus software, without having a the windows mobile hotspot turned on it works completely fine, even if i started the software with mobile hotspot enabled and its stuck on loading, as soon as i disable the hotspot the app launches instantly.

The place where i stay has an open network, which you have to sign in using otp like in railway and hotels, since we can't do air link with public network. I use to connect my pc to wifi and start a mobile hotspot on my pc to connect oculus and do air link. Used to work fine till some time back.
