to International Languages Week New Zealand (19-25 Aug 2007)
You are cordially invited to visit the Palmerston North Central City
Library anytime during INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES WEEK, Monday 24 to
Friday 28 August.

There will be colourful and informative displays of different
languages and cultures, as well as interactive activities, dress-ups,
calligraphy, songs, story-telling and much much more!

English is a bit like vanilla ice cream. It's everywhere, it's nice,
it's basic. But there are so many more flavours and tastes out there!
Why not try them?

Displays will be up all week but individual languages will be offering
activities from 3.30 pm onwards, on specific days as follows:

Monday ----- JAPANESE
Tuesday ----- CHINESE
Wednesday ----- FRENCH
Thursday ----- SPANISH
Friday ----- GERMAN

This will be a great opportunity for students to meet speakers of the
different international languages. They can learn something about
their countries and cultures, ask questions and learn about secondary
and tertiary language programmes.

But most of all, it will be a chance to try out some new and exciting
activities!

The programme consists of joint contributions from local schools and
Massey University and will be hosted by Palmerston North City Library.
