I have imported FLEX data into LanguageForge. How does one insert semantic domain in LanguageForge. So far I cannot see where I have to click to insert synonymy.

Dear Thapelo

Thank you for your interest in LanguageForge.

We have not finished developing the interface to allow you to choose semantic domains. So at the moment it will display domains that have been imported from FLEx but you can't add new ones yet.

With more than 1500 semantic domain categories, a suitable selector needs to be well thought out and easy to use. At this stage I don't have a time frame for when this will be done. We are currently working on Send & Receive so that data from your FLEx database can be synced with LanguageForge.

Blessings, Ira

Dear Thapelo,

I appreciate Ira's answer about the semantic domain chooser.

In your second sentence you mention synonymy.  Indicating what semantic domain a word is part of is one piece of information, and it is also possible to indicate what synonyms a word has.  Are you also wanting to do that?

In FLEx, that field is called "Lexical Relations", and the process of indicating that a word has a synonym is different from indicating what semantic domains apply to it.
