The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), Alaska's largest university with 20,000 students in over 190 degree programs, invites applications for the position of ePortfolio Initiatives Coordinator within the Faculty Technology Center. The Center assists faculty as they incorporate instructional technology, creates materials for on-line delivery, and works closely with faculty and administrators throughout the institution to promote the effective use of technology in teaching and learning. Building off a successful pilot study, the institution is making a commitment to improve student learning through the incorporation of ePortfolios in appropriate places in the curriculum.
Reporting to the Director of the Faculty Technology Center, the ePortfolio Initiatives Coordinator is charged to define, implement and support the ongoing use of ePortfolios across the University system. She/he will provide leadership to the faculty, administration, and staff for the effective deployment of electronic portfolio technologies and pedagogies. He/She will promote the use of electronic portfolios in classrooms and programs across the university system in order to improve student learning, the understanding of portfolio thinking and to assist with the collection of student learning data.
