VPN is never a default on an iPhone; it must be enabled by the user. And yes, Snapchat does not permit use of VPN when accessing their service, because they need to know your physical location to comply with local laws, and VPN hides your actual location.
This was happening to my iphone 12 but i was able to log into snap through my ipad 12. i tried deleting and re-downloading the app from my phone and restarting my phone, and none of that worked. i soon realized i had VPN turned on and when i turned that off i was able to get into my snapchat fine.

Can anyone help? Snapchat sound is muffled and sounds like white noise during videos, but sound works in normal camera videos and Insta videos etc. All permissions to use mic are turned on. The phone is not on silent. The volume is turned way up, and I haven't muted sound within the app. I have reinstalled the app, and reset the entire phone and still not working. However, when apple headphones are plugged in sound is clear. I have an iPhone 6s Plus.
Hi!! So I had this issue with my Iphone 6 and now with my Iphone 7. I was going through the same things, checking my privacy and permissions, testing out all the apps to see where the audio worked and where it didn't. I restarted my phone and deleted apps.
But surprisingly what worked both times was cleaning out the microphone. I took a small toothpick and cleaned out the speakers and the microphone and all of a sudden, my microphone was fixed. Sometimes I guess a lot of dirt and sand gets into the microphone and we don't realize. So my hope would be just cleaning out the microphone and hopefully everything works.
Snapchat has no idea what the issue is. They told me to delete the Beta version of the iOS software. I did that and restarted my phone. It is still an issue. I did it three times and the white noise and no voice is still there. This is an issue that Snapchat doesn't know how to fix. No wonder their stock is tanking.
I tried this method with no results as I too was getting white noise after recording on Snapchat, Instagram and also Voice Memos. went in to the Apple Store tonight and let them know what was going on. After a quick diagnostic check I learned that one of my bottom microphones had failed... boom brand new iPhone 7 and no more issue.
I had this problem because I rest my iPhone 7 Plus on my pinky and it covers the microphone on the bottom of the phone. Snapchat videos were muffled and had sharp cracks. Moved my pinky and fixed the problem.
I had the same issue with Snapchat and Instagram where the sound was muffled whenever I try to record new videos from these 2 app and I suffered for almost 2 weeks... until I woke up one day to realise that the issue was resolved by itself. Note that I sent a message to Snapchat regarding the issue but they never replied me :/
I had this issue yesterday and noticed this was the top Google result for this issue, so I figured I would post my findings/solution that fixed it. Basically, I ended up calling Apple and getting a diagnostic test done over the phone, then had to go to the store to get repairs. Apparently the issue was not with the microphones at all, but with a dead speaker. How this impacted the recording ability of the iPhone, you'd have to ask Apple engineers who designed it, I'm not sure.
But the point is, with this issue, there's nothing you can really do yourself... it is just hardware failure. At least in my experience. Luckily this happened to me while my phone was still under warranty.
unrelated WARNING: If you take your iPhone to the Apple store for "free" repairs, and they notice the tiniest crack in the screen/display, the "geniuses" will try to charge you $150 to replace it, even though they need to break the screen to replace the speaker(at least my nearest Apple store) anyways. *Without* telling you about it first. Complete nonsense.
I had this issue today and I realized that when the switch above the volume buttons is set to silence the sounds on Snapchat filters do not play. I switch ti back to un-silence the device and I had the sounds.
This worked for me and hopefully for you guys, try getting a needle and cleaning the mic (right beside the headphone jack) I had the same problems, snapchat was fuzzy but not my camera, I did this and now its all good, I hope it works for you guys :)
I had this problem. If you have a iPhone 7 notice on the bottom there are about 6 little holes either side of the charge port. Mine were filled to the rim with dirt and grime. Get a pin or something and clean them all out and the sound should work again.
If your problem is only with the sound on Snapchat videos and not on your regular camera roll videos, this is what worked for me: Simply restarted my phone, deleted the app and reinstalled it. It must've been something to do with how the microphone was configured with Snapchat because when I re downloaded iit and gave access to the microphone again, I'm guessing that's how it reconfigured itself.
I had this problem for weeks. I would record a video and no sound. I tried everything.. uninstalling the snap app, resetting my device, cleaning my mic, etc. until I logged into another device (in this case my iPad) and made sure the mic worked.. then logged back into my iPhone. From there on my Snapchat was not having any issues. Hope this helped.
Try to download a VPN360 and connect to USA .. after accepting the vpn to run on your iphone .. connect the vpn ..when the vpn is connected . go to your iphone setting then go to general,then look for date and time .. click on it .. when you are on date and time .. remove it from set autimatically .. look down you will see time zone .. edit the time zone to new york .. that is when you are still connected to the VPN .. when that is done .. go back to your snapchat and login .. it will work
However, I have a WiFi connection and a cellular connection that is enabled for the Snapchat app. Both of the connection is confirmed with other apps. I have tried to reboot the device. Also, I have removed it once to install it again. So far no luck.
well i found out that snapchat is restricted for some countries and they can not use snap chat, and this problem you have is because your IP and your timeline doesn't show a same location. this is so silly and since many people have these sort of problems there is nobody to answer properly.
Do you have a Facebook account, a twitter account or any other social media account, which you cannot access on your phone other than Snapchat? If Snapchat is the ONLY account you can't use on your phone, it's not a phone issue. It's an App issue.
Hi all, I just wanted to let everyone know who was having the same problem as me that I decided to get a new phone and I can now log in to my snap chat account. So there was obviously some sort of block on my device.
My snapchat account keeps getting locked out on my iphone 7 .If I log in on another phone which is my parents iphone 7 .it has no issue. It only logs me out and locks my account on my personal phone. This just started 2 days ago. I did not install any third party apps or do any spam. It somehow is related to my phone since it only happens on my phone. I tried to clearing and deleting my phone and starting over but it still does the same thing. Thanks for any help.
Whenever i try to login in snapchat account i see a popup "Due to repeated failed attempts or other unusual activity, your access to Snapchat is temporarily disabled." Please solve my problem as soon as possible. I'm trying to login from last 7 days but still not to able to login my Snapchat account
I try using snapchat on I-phone SE 2020. but till now, I didn't find any fruitful results. I can take snaps, but cannot view the ones other people send to me. I can send messages, but It's hard viewing what other people texted to me. It's tough locating different chats. also, map, stories and spotlight tabs are not accessible. I have tried using screen recognition alongside voiceover, but it did not work well.
Can anyone provide any sollution of it? since snapchat is very important app these days, inavailability of accessibility makes things chalanging.
Likely culprit is the top microphone, which is an easy fix. If the phone is refurbished, or sold by a third party it's easy to miss that during testing. it COULD also be software related. Unlikely, but you can try a quick update and see if that changes anything.
I have this problem on Tiktok,Snapchat,Instagram. When I dont have my AirPods in during a phone call or FaceTime the same thing happens. And without my AirPods my camera picks up my microphone no problem. I need help!
The phone I had was a refurbished phone from AT&T. I spoke with them on the phone and was able to get a replacement phone that did not have this failure. Restarting the phone and erasing the application and redownloading did not solve the problem. It was the phone itself.
its the dirty mic. i have an iphone 7 and it has little holes at the bottom that receive the sound. get a needle or a thumbtack and scrape the moist dirt thats stuck in there. i did that and it started working like magic
He is still able to open the app and receive and send snapchats both on Wi-Fi and cell data. It makes me wonder what else is working like it should. In Smart Family I have blocked all social media. I double checked and that is still on. He keeps finding ways around it all.
Phones can be used for school if they don't have a computer, and it's already connected to service. It's much easier to finance a phone versus a computer, and computers need wifi which not everyone can afford. Maybe you should not pass judgment if you can't even consider to use critical thinking. Seems to me like you're creating a problem that doesn't exist as well! Apparently, there's a parent looking for help for the better of their child so they don't end up a pompous wiseguy such as yourself.
HELP!! My volume button has stopped working to taking snaps on my iPhone.
I've cleared the data, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing works, I have been searching online for how to fix this and I am getting no where. I am not playing any music or anything on my phone while taking a snap. Please HELP!!!
