Applicantscan apply for grants up to 2,000. Proposed projects can take a variety of formats, provided a clear rationale is given regarding the appropriateness of the method of engagement adopted, and how the necessary resources and expertise will be secured. Applications will be assessed by a selection committee. Research students and postdocs should receive permission from their supervisors before applying. College researchers are fully eligible to apply.

Successful applicants will be supported by the University Public Engagement team with advice and training, and must submit an interim and concluding report including thorough evaluation upon completion of the project.

Begin the starter strip by cutting the strip half a tab short so that its joints will not line up with the joints of the first course of shingles.

The starter strip should overhang the eaves by 6-10 mm and the rakes where applicable.

What attracts critters is easy access to food. With composting, residents keep rodents out of the trash by moving food scraps into thicker, more secure carts with locking lids.

Desmond Cambridge Jr. became the third Nevada basketball scholarship player to enter the transfer portal in as many days Wednesday when he announced he would not return to the Wolf Pack for a second senior season. It was an expected move after Cambridge was honored during Nevada's senior night game earlier this month.

"I would like to thank the University of Nevada, the city of Reno, the coaching staff and Wolf Pack Nation," Cambridge wrote in a tweet. "My experience in Reno has been unforgettable; and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a great community. The way that I have matured mentality and physically over the last several years will stick with me for the rest of my life, and I have this city to thank for that. I will never forget my time here! Thank you.

Cambridge transferred to Nevada in 2019-20, redshirting that season before becoming a two-time All-Mountain West third-team pick during his two active seasons with the Wolf Pack. This year, he averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. He made 43.5 percent of his shots, including 37 percent from three. He ranked 11th in the MW in scoring, second in made threes, third in steals and fifth in blocks. He was second on Nevada in points, first in rebounds, steals and blocks and third in assists.

Cambridge spent two seasons at Brown from 2017-19, averaging 16.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Under NCAA rules, college basketball players are allowed a one-time transfer with immediately eligibility. Since this is Cambridge's second transfer, he must file for a waiver to be immediately eligible even though he's a graduate transfer. The 2021 change to the transfer rules state "a student-athlete who has previously transferred from another four-year school would not be able to use the one-time exception as a postgraduate transfer. However, a waiver process exists for postgraduate students with a previous transfer history."

Cambridge, who will be in his sixth season of college next year, has just one season of eligibility remaining. His brother, Devan, is in his third season at Auburn, and Desmond has expressed an interest playing with him, so the SEC Tigers could be an option. Nevada, meanwhile, must replace its best 3-point shooter and top perimeter defender after losing Cambridge, who made 156 3-pointers in 56 games over two seasons at Nevada, including 87 3-pointers this season (the seventh most in a single season in program history). Cambridge's career high at Nevada came in a home loss to Colorado State when he scored 36 points on 13-of-15 shooting, including 7-of-9 from three.

Cambridge is the second Wolf Pack starter to enter the portal this week, joining starting center Warren Washington, who announced Tuesday he was transferring. Backup guard Alem Huseinovic and walk-on wing man Caleb Oden entered the transfer portal Monday. Nevada is currently at 11 scholarship players for next season when including 2022 commits Trey Pettigrew and Darrion Williams. Teams are allowed 13 scholarship players, giving Nevada two more scholarships to dole out this offseason, barring any further transfers.
