Ifyou want your brand to convey stability and reliability, you can never go wrong with a square design. From a basic shape, these brands transformed a simple square into a creative logo that is well-known worldwide.

Squares are one of the building blocks of our culture. In the psychology of shapes, square logos represent various things, including reliability, structure, strength, and stability. If these are the values of your business, then a square logo is the best choice to represent your brand.

In logo design, squares represent an extensive range of meanings and emotions. You may have encountered these brands below every day, from entertainment sites to work-related apps, without even knowing!

Did you know that the color blue slows down your heart rate and lowers blood pressure? This soothing and relaxing color stimulates a better state of your mind and creates a sense of trust, loyalty, security, calmness, intelligence, and responsibility.

I have seen references to themes, but don't know what theme is being used or where to change the theme. The Settings just give me the option to change styles. The website is not live - I can't publish it until it has been reviewed. Thank you for your help.

Think about it, there are requirements for graphic sizes depending the web hosting service. This is standard practice with most hosting sites however, if you want to use what ever size you want, the end results may not be what is expected.

Having said that, you can do two things. As far as the number of pixels in an image is concerned, you can use a tool like Photoshop to scale images to the correct pixel height and width and then upload those to Square Online. Of course, that will be scaled depending on the device screen size and there is nothing anyone can do about that.

That's a good point about the screen size, and I should check with the reviewer on what size screen she is viewing the website. Assuming she means the website view, I am currently working off a 27" iMac and am looking at the website preview on that. I uploaded a 792 432 pixels logo to use and enlarged it as much as possible. It is still tiny and looks even smaller floating in the header stretched across the screen. It is even tinier on the mobile screen.

Thank you, Deborah. So I took your URL and put it into a website code inspector that I have for troubleshooting. I was able to determine that you are currently using the largest size logo that the Square Online editor allowed using the logo sizing slider in the header editor. This is a limitation that you are going to have to just accept for the short term.

If you wish, you can head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Online Team to allow more sizing options and ranges. But be aware this will not be quick and submitting a request only starts an evaluation process.

We are in the middle of business and the square register would not load this morning. It is stuck on the square logo screen. We have rebooted our internet and it is fine. We rebooted the square register but it is still stuck at logo screen. We tried unplugging and plugging everything back in.

The same thing has been happening to me in my store. I have called the Square support and they were going to have a tech call me back. Never heard from them. Now it's Memorial Weekend and I have no way to take credit cards. Not happy.

I need to design a series of Favicons for a site. As you know, Facicons are square, with sizes ranging from 16x16 and multiples thereof, in a bitmap format (I will use png) and a transparent background.

The logo I have is rectangular and vertical. I have traces it in AI. And I know how to export to png. But the problem is that what I need to exports to png is not just the rectangular logo, but also a transparent frame around it that is square, so that it can be used as a Favicon. And that's where I get really confused. I know how to change the dimensions of the logo (using the control panel for now) but obviously, that is not what I want. It is the canvas, I guess, that I want to turn into a square, but I get confused with artboards and I don't know what is exported and what isn't.

If you set your Artboard to 152x152 pixels and ensure that it is placed with whole/integer pixel X,Y values at its corners, and place the artwork centred, then your PNG24 will give you the desired full transparency (use Artboards).

The reason they look different is not because they've been squashed. It's because to display a logo at such a small size, it has to be simplified or stylised. But there is no way the logo itself is distorted to be square.

Let's reason this. I may end up doing it in PS if I can't work out how to do it in Illustrator. This is what I would do to create a 152x152 favicon. I would create a new document with dimensions 152x152. It will not have a background layer so will be transparent. I would place the logo on top of the transparent background. The logo being tall and thin, I would scale it so it's height is 152. And whatever its width then becomes, it doesn't matter. I centre the logo in the square document. I export as PNG. I get a 152x152 transparent square with my logo on top, absolutely not distorted or reshaped.

The Human Rights Campaign logo is one of the most recognizable symbols of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. It has become synonymous with the fight for equal rights for LGBTQ+ Americans.

The genesis of the HRC logo began with Birch's vision for a unifying message for the organization. Birch formed a committee that included former HRC senior staff, board members and marketing talents such as Lisa Sherman, Wes Combs and Bob Witeck. She also enlisted the help of marketing and design firm Stone Yamashita. Birch had worked with Keith Yamashita while at Apple Computer and admired Robert Stone's clean and exciting design style. Susan Schuman, also from Apple, joined Birch at HRC and helped guide the new positioning and branding efforts.

Stone Yamashita created 10 potential designs for the logo, some of which were variations on the old torch logo. Birch was drawn to one depicting a yellow equal sign inside of a blue square. Though it was the second-favorite choice among focus groups, Birch and her committee insisted on the simple, bold design.
