Ikeep getting a fail to initialize error message for Smart Audio, how do I fix or remove this, I can't find a Smart Audio application and I have run the audio diagnostic several times and it says that everything is functioning properly. Any advice?
Thank you very much for your assistance, I followed your advice and used the first option from the fix and after the reboot the error changed from failed to initialize and said it could not find a Conexant application and I had an "x" on my speaker icon. Crazy system, why would it try to initialize something that is not even there and then say it can't find it and will close. I reversed the disabled audio choices from within device manager and reenabled them and my sound came back and the "x" is gone. Hopefully I won't see the error message again when I reboot or I'm calling HP to complain because this is a brand new system that I had built by them. First they forgot to lock the bios and now a mystery application that does not exist. Ridiculous! but thank you for helping me.
I had so much hope, LOL, but unfortunately the crazy message is back! Smart Audio Failed to initialize .... I'm contacting HP to resolve this because I am not driving myself crazy trying to fix mystery applications!
Get the message of "Failed to initialize SmartAudio. The application will exit" message keeps coming up after upgrade to windows 10 version 1909. Click OK and the message re-appears in less than a minute, again.
I have uninstalled the Synaptics HD Audio driver before but not the Intel(R) Display Audio. This time uninstalled (removed software from device too) both, rebooted, and the message came back up. The Sound, video and game controllers section in Device Manager has both Intel and Synaptics in it. The Audio inputs and outputs section in Device Manager has all four of the devices (headphones, speakers, and 2 monitor speakers.
Clean boot allowed me to find two services CxAudioSvc and CxUIUSvc Services that were running. I disabled these services and the error message is no longer there. I checked and Windows Audio Service is still there. I had someone listen and we tested the audio, it worked.
I am going to leave the two services disabled for now. THANKS EVERYONE!!
Clean boot worked for the message to NOT come up.
Started the process to see if I could find the culprit. I did find the item(s). Services CxAudioSvc Service and CxUIUSvc Service. If these services are started, the error comes up. If these services are disabled, no error.
I installed Windows 8 Pro on my HP 450 G3 and upgraded to Windows 10 (I had to upgrade because there was no display driver allowing diming of screen). Now there is SmartAudio error message after startup "A conexant audio device could not be found. The application will now exit."
In most cases, the problem is somehow related to the audio drivers installed on the computer. It may be wrong or outdated. The error message is as follows: A Conexant audio device could not be found. The application will now exit.
In some cases, drivers may not have been installed correctly and are compatible with the hardware being used by the computer that is triggering the issue. So, to roll back the driver, the steps are as follows:
Sometimes the button to roll back the driver is grayed out, which means your driver may be out of date. We recommend that you update your audio driver and see if that works. Here are some ways to update Conexant SmartAudio drivers.
Conexant High Definition Audio comes preinstalled with most modern laptops and desktops. Unfortunately, some users lose sound when that error message pops up. In this guide, we will show you how to fix this error effortlessly.
Then you can press the Update All button to update the drivers. Alternatively, click the box from the left of the Conexant audio driver and press the Update button from the right.
If you are getting the failed to initialize SmartAudio, the application will now exit error; it might be because the device is initialized correctly on startup. Disabling the app in Task Manager should do the trick.
Those resolutions will probably resolve the Failed to initialize SmartAudio error message. Aside from those resolutions, rolling Windows back to a restore point with System Restore or restarting the audio service might also fix the issue.
When the UEFI Secure Boot feature is active, a UEFI BIOS will only boot cryptographically signed boot loaders whose certificates are stored in the BIOS code. It is possible that your Yamaha driver is blocked because it is not stored as a certificate in your bios and is therefore blocked by secure boot.
It is exactly not graphic card issues because i tried two different model of graphic card. But all things worked correctly before i changed it. And here is more interesting thing: last time when i change my graphic card (and returned it back to the store the next day) i used another audio interface, it let me think that this issues have more misterious nature than just audio uncopability. It seems like a whole system architectures issue.
Just run into this problem. Never had it before, and I record with UR242 for several years already. I changed nothing in my system. I was recording, and for several hours everything was ok as usual, but suddenly the sound on the input device started to interrupt, I went to hardware settings and see this error. Do I really need to perform all the procedures described above??? I hardly understand what is written there Seems to be too complex solution.
All other power management options have no impact on this, and I say this from experience.
Neither SpeedStep/Speed Shift, C-States, Turbo Boost, nor any other CPU option makes a difference in CPU latency or connectivity problems. I have all of these enabled on my system and have never had a single issue.
Hi all. I hope you can help please.
I have just replaced my old Philips 55PUS6401 TV with a new Samsung QE65Q70AATXXU 65 Inch QLED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV.
The TV is all set up and working fine on FreeSat, but I have a problem with sound output.
Previously, I used a HDMI ARC port from the TV to my Denon AVR which worked perfectly. With Samsung, I get an error saying "Your audio device is connected to a port that does not support ARC. Please connect your device to the HDMI 3 (ARC) port."
The same cable is in HDMI 3, and in settings on the Samsung TV - in Sound, Expert settings - 'HDMIe-ARC Mode' is Auto, as well as 'Digital Output Adio for...' Auto.
In terms of setup I have a HDMI cable in the TV as mentioned. This then goes to this small box which has an optical audio cable from it which then goes into the optical TV audio port on the AVR: HD11-ARC - The Media Factory
I also tried bypassing the above box conveying HDMI to optical audio and followed these instructions: Playing TV Audio Through the AV Receiver
Enabled the above setting. Switched my projector HDMI to MONITOR 2, plugged the HDMI from TV into MONITOR 1 (ARC). Enabled all settings - same error on the TV.
Tried unplugging power supply of both TV and sound device, unplugging and plugging back HDMI cable from sound device, from TV, tried also HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports, and always continue to receive the same message:
When HDMI Receiver is selected as audio output, and I turn volume Up/Down from the TV remote, my audio device correctly receives the corresponding CEC commands. Also when de HDMI cable is desconnected an re-connected, the device receives all the audio descriptors. However it is impossible to stablish the eARC link.
If I start with the TV powered off (unplugged), when powering on everything works OK and the TV connects to the AVR through ARC (eARC seems to do nothing as the digital audio options remain inaccessible apart from DD), so I know everything is correctly setup/enabled in terms of both products settings.
At times (randomly), and even with nothing changing, I get a TV message saying "Your audio device is connected to a port that does not support ARC. Please connect your device to the HDMI 3 (ARC) port", even though it is connected to that port, from that point onwards ARC does not connect until a full power cycle is carried out.
I was facing the same issue and I found out the root cause was an HDMI splitter that I bought recently and it was connected to the normal HDMI port (not ARC). Once I disconnected this device from the TV, everything came back to normal. No more error messages, the ARC port recognized the receiver, and the remote control is working fine with other devices.
hello, someone will know what to do, I have a laptop with intel smart audio sst, and I wanted to install solus but the audio does not work, my computer is a huawei D14 with i3, if someone knew what can be done I would really appreciate it
My problem is related but different, my Bluetooth just disconnects after awhile or should I say stops putting sound through into my bluetooth ear buds. Even going and disconnecting the bluetooth does not fix the problem. Generally I have to reboot to fix this.
Launching a new generation of smart glasses in conjunction with one of the world's best-known sunglasses manufacturers right as the northern hemisphere heads into winter is the kind of thinking that could only come out of a Golden State company like Meta.
Half a world away, though, I'm testing out the new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses in a gray and dismal UK. It is decidedly not sunglasses season, so walking around with a pair on my head in early November, the sun a distant memory, makes me feel (to use that most British of idioms) a bit of a pillock.
Whatever combination you might opt for, though, the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are about the tech crammed inside the frames, with a suite of cameras, speakers, and communication tools aimed at letting wearers capture and share their lives with ease.
