Note:               This town hall meeting is intended to serve as part of a consultation process between the City and residents and owners taking an interest in a recent laneway issue, to share information and to express concerns. It is not an official hearing.

                        This meeting will be chaired by the residents’ ad hoc laneway committee. All participants and attendees are asked to respect the agenda content and schedule. Agenda is below. This meeting is free and all are welcome to attend. 

 

I would replace the word “consultation” with “exchange of information.” I am attending on behalf of the City to provide information and answer questions.

The “general issue of laneways” and a new laneway study have been on our Department’s work plan. The policy package is expected to come forward to Planning and to Transportation Committees next year. At that time, the Planning and Growth Management Department will be in a position to make a presentation on the broader issue.
