This is a tutorial on how to search for Vacant Lots using the Map.
Note, before we proceed, if you are trying to export a list to Excel, you will need to upgrade to the Ultimate User level. Don't forget you can temporarily Upgrade to Ultimate for 2 hours with your User Credits, by selecting the Upgrade icon in the Dashboard.
1. Login to landproDATA and launch the Map. Note, you can launch the Map by clicking on the MAP tab at the top of the page.
2. Once the map is open, find the Task Pane on the right side of the Map. From there, look for Search Layer Data. Click the drop down and select Vacant Lots. Hit the Search button.
2. The Vacant Lots pop up window should open at this point. From here we can customize our search parameters for Vacant Lots. We have the option of selecting either Ada or Canyon county, or we can leave it blank. Next we have the option of choosing what type of Vacant Lot we are looking for, ie if we have a property code or minimum/maximum acreage in mind. Lastly, we can choose if we want to search a specific part of the map we are already zoomed in on, or if we would like to search the entire map for Vacant Lots.
4. From the Vacant Lots search results, we can select individual Parcels or we have the option of selecting all of the Parcels by clicking Check All. After selecting what Parcels we want, we have the option of Selecting and Zooming to these Parcels on the map by clicking on Select & Zoom.
Note, you will need to scroll down to click on Check All and Select & Zoom.
5. From the map we should see our Vacant Lot Parcels selected and highlighted on the map. One thing we would recommend to do first after searching a large list like this is to export them to a Google Earth KMZ. This can be done via the Task Pane > Task List drop down. Once there, look for the Google Earth tool. Click on the Download KMZ button. From there we now have a shareable/visible list of Vacant Lots outside of the map, we can also email this file to a colleague etc.
6. Reminder, if we want to export this list of Vacant Lot Parcels to Excel, we need to be at the Ultimate User Level. With the Vacant Lots still highlighted on our map, go to Task Pane > Reports. Click on Parcels - Vacant Lots under Reports. This will open up a new page with a list of your selected Vacant Lots.
7. From the Reports page we will see a list of our selected Vacant Lots. At the top of the page there will be an Excel icon button. Clicking on this button will allow you to download the list into an Excel sheet format.
