SOSIEL v8 – Timeline & Support in Testing

Hello everyone, 

This is Klara here, a doctoral researcher at the University of Bonn, Germany, working on agent-based modeling in forest socio-ecological systems. I'm currently integrating SOSIEL into my modeling workflow alongside LANDIS-II and am particularly interested in the upcoming features in version 8.

I wanted to kindly ask if there is any update on the expected release timeline of SOSIEL v8, and who I might contact directly regarding development. I would also be happy to offer support with testing or feedback, should that be helpful at this stage.

Hi Klara,

We've updated SHE (SOSIEL Human Extension) to work with LANDIS-II v8. You may find a basic test set of config files that work here. The updated version of SHE only runs with a version of LANDIS-II v8 that has relevant .dll files also updated. They can be found here.
