Dear All:
This came across my desk, may be useful for parameterization.
Cheers,

Estimating biomass, nutrient concentrations and nutrient contents has never been so easy!
Please try our new web forest biomass and nutrient calculator at:
How much biomass is there in the branches of this stand?
How much nitrogen will be extracted if branches are used for bioenergy?
How do the nutrient concentrations values that I obtained for this stand compares with values found in the literature?
Answers to these questions can be addressed in seconds with a web-tool of the Canadian Forest Service that allows the user to estimate the biomass and the nutrient contents of branches, bark, bole and foliage of about any forest stands found in Canada. The model would probably give good estimations for a large portion of the US but would need validation. Inputs required are either DBH (or DBH and height) for estimates at the tree scale or Basal Area for estimates at the stand scale. Estimates of error terms are also provided. A database of nutrient concentrations is also available. For more info : Paré, D.; Bernier, Y.; Lafleur, B.; Titus, B.D.; Thiffault, E.; Maynard, D.G.; Guo, X. 2013.
