LOCA would be prepared to pay any costs involved in setting up a new
group providing it is acknowledged

I wonder if Google would respond to a request to transfer the group owner?

Have already tried to approach google. They don't provide any support
for google groups.

You can also check the google group technical support forum, it's full
of people pleading for help and threatening to move their groups to
other service as they are in the same predicament as our group. There's
no response from Google. It's totally disgraceful.

Of course anyone here is welcome to try, you just never know your luck.
It would be easier than trying to get everyone to move to a new group.
But I don't like your chances.

Cheers,
Eriks

Hi Eriks,

saw your post and put up another one on this forum to see if I had any
luck. None so far but it might be worthwhile giving it a couple of
days. I guess next time we need to make sure the club has control of
these things whether we go with google or something else.

cheers,

nathan
