Dropping off on local roads will leave you with a long dangerous walk to get to the car parks and then a longer walk to get to the gates. Not only that, but working out where to be picked up is even harder, leaving you waiting on a dangerous road side whilst your lift tries to negotiate all the road closures put in place to assist the exiting traffic.
The Drop and Collect is located to the east of the site. Head towards Evercreech on the A371 and follow the signs for Drop and Collect or DC. Plan a route that keeps you away from the immediate area of the Festival as the A361 is closed for through traffic on the Monday after the festival between Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet.

For those wanting an easy and hassle-free way of travelling to the festival from town, simply download the Reading Buses app. You can get both a single trip or weekend ticket and check the timetable for both routes. No need to worry about carrying any money, just activate, scan and go!
Taxis will be available from Reading train station. The main festival taxi pick up/drop off point will be on Tessa Road, near Red Gate and will cost approx. 5-6. Busy traffic/slow journeys will increase the price.
Queues for taxis leaving site are often quite long, particularly on Sunday night/Monday morning, so consider pre-booking a private hire to collect you from the designated pick up area at the far end of Tessa Road.
If you have a Day Ticket, you must either purchase a Green Day Car Park Pass for the corresponding day to your ticket or, once these are sold out, either travel to the festival using public transport or utilise one of the public car parks in Reading town detailed below. You can only enter the festival site via the Green Day Gate.
If you have a Guest (Day or Weekend) or disabled access ticket, you will be provided with the relevant parking information for your ticket type closer to the festival, please do not purchase a White Car Park Pass or attempt to access the site via the White Car Park/Pedestrian entrance as you will be turned away.
Railair operate a direct Reading to London Heathrow bus service which uses Reading Train Station as a drop-off and pick-up point. This service is best when pre-booked, which can be done at the Railair website.
If you plan to book a coach for you and your friends from a private operator to drop you off / pick you up at Reading Festival please go ahead and book your coach. Depending on the capacity of your coach, you may need to purchase/book a slot for your pick up/drop off near the festival site at a later date, see below for more info.
The nearest train station is Leeds Train Station. There are regular trains from major cities across England into Leeds including Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and London. Take the festival bus from Leeds train station direct to Bramham Park.
If you plan on being dropped off at Leeds Festival, or picked up when you are ready to leave, you will need to use our dedicated Pick Up and Drop Off zone, located off York Road (A64). There is no pick up/drop off facility near to Yellow Gate this year.
New for 2024, the one-way system on the A64 will this year be in place for the duration of the festival. From 04:00hrs on Wednesday 22nd August to 15:00hrs on Monday 26th August, the A64 between the Fox and Grapes public house and the A1(M) / A64 roundabout will be closed to all traffic travelling Eastbound (i.e. from Leeds to York). Please note we will take the closures off as soon as possible.
Non-festival traffic is advised to consider alternative routes or allow more time for their journey. For details on alternative routes and other local residents information, please visit the local residents website.
Aberford Village will not be accessible to festival goers and there will be no through access throughout the duration of Leeds Festival. As per 2021, the junction of Main Street with the A64 just to the West of the Jct 44 roundabout will be closed from 04:00hrs on Wednesday 22nd August to 15:00hrs on Monday 26th August.
Downtown Milwaukee and The Historic Third Ward are growing destinations and due to ongoing development, there are areas of construction outside the festival grounds that will impact some of the routes and parking commonly utilized by attendees.
Driving to the festival? View our best route guides below. Patrons are encouraged to exit at any of the downtown exits prior to the Lakefront exit and park in one of the many downtown parking structures
Two shuttles will run approximately every half hour from the College Avenue or Brown Deer Park and Ride lot. These shuttles offer convenient, non-stop, direct access to the festival grounds entrance located immediately outside the Summerfest Mid Gate.
New in 2023, Transit Plus riders will be dropped off and picked up directly outside of the Summerfest Mid-gate. The new location provides a more central and accessible option for riders. But if you managed to get a ticket to this now-sold-out three-day festival that starts Friday, Aug. 11 and lasts through Sunday, Aug. 13, you might have questions about maps, parking, public transit, road closures, the bag policy and more. After all, Outside Lands is a huge, sprawling event that takes over a large part of Golden Gate Park and impacts a lot of the surrounding areas of the Richmond and Sunset districts in San Francisco.
If you are using rideshare apps like Lyft or Uber, the official Outside Lands pickup and drop-off locations are Balboa & 30th Avenue or Irving Street between 25th and 27th avenues. Be aware that these apps will impose dynamic pricing for an event like Outside Lands, which will make even a short ride much more expensive than usual.
Outside Lands officials strongly recommend taking BART to Civic Center to pick up the official shuttle, but if you do drive, paid parking is available in the Civic Center Parking Garage adjacent to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium for a fee (entrance at McAllister Street between Polk Street and Larkin Street.)
There is a designated ADA Entrance at 36th Avenue & JFK. This is where the Access Center is and you can request a golf cart inside, or get a collar for your service animal. Accessible pickup and drop-off is at 36th and Fulton. If you are taking a rideshare, let your driver know to tell the parking staff that you need access to the ADA parking, which is also at the 36th and Fulton entrance.

Travelling to the festival makes up 80% of the total carbon emissions generated (source: The Show Must Go On Report, 2015). You could travel by lower carbon forms of travel such as coach, train with direct shuttle buses to the festival or carshare to help reduce this. See our travel page for all options.
We have routes from North, South, East and West to get you to the festival site by car. These will be used flexibly depending on traffic conditions at the time. It is important that you follow the temporary road signs for directions around the festival site, and not your sat nav.
A taxi rank will be located inside the Transport Hub at Liquid Death Presents Download Festival. Please ensure you instruct drivers to drop you off, and pick you up, from this location.
The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival kicks off today, marking the unofficial start of summer, and we couldn't be more excited. There's so much to explore this year, from old favorites like the Artist Market and the Juried Visual Arts Exhibition to brand new additions (but soon to be favorites) like the Umbrella Sky Project, Tidal, and aerial dance company Blue Lapis Light. Here are our top picks for every festival-goer.
More picks: Industrial robots create large-scale drawings and scribe the bible in neat calligraphic lines on rolls of paper daily at Wood Street Galleries; CREATE Festival Highlights (June 2-4) and AWC Lab (June 2-5) at the August Wilson Center.
Be aware of road closures downtown. Provide Delivery Instructions when placing your order, so your driver can easily find you. Click here for more information about eating with Uber Eats during the festival.
