Dear fellow AGO-ers,

You will likely recall that I became and “advisor” et al in dispersing the library of music and books about music AND some incredibly surprising boxes or music or the like.  Among them, multiple copies of about two dozen titles:

I’m almost finished finding hopefully the most appropriate “home” for some amazing treasures that Carl owned, and let me at long last get to the box of choral music in quantities per tittle as indicated in my attachment.  Our dean has approved of my setting these sets of choral music out at the time of our dinner meeting at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren for your taking on Monday evening 15 May.

To help you be as responsible as reasonably possible, let me share with you in advance the list of choral-music titles that Carl had in his basement, along with quantities of each title, lest you wish to check this information against your church's choral library, either to know that you could add as few as four or as many as a dozen or more copies of one or more anthem files in your library —  OR in some cases perhaps to add a totally new title of one or more anthems in quantity perhaps sufficient for your entire choir.

I’ve asked Margaret Marsch, our gracious hostess for the evening, if I might have a table or two on which to set out this music, which I’d hope to do, each anthem set in its own little pile.    I’d encourage you to arrive early if you can, peruse the music, and take whatever you have determined can be helpful to your choral library.

Here as in so many other ways, Carl’s library is a reflection of the great guy he was in our midst.   I think he would be pleased to know that his box of choral octaves can benefit X number of choral libraries among our members.   May he rest in peace.
