Smearsett Scar from Langcliffe (approximately 8.5 miles with 1150 feet of ascent)

Meet for coffee from 9.30 am at the Naked Man café in Settle (park on the market square opposite the café, or on the main street beyond the railway bridge) or at 10.30am on the carpark in Langcliffe (BD24 9NF) to start the walk.

 

The walk will go over  Smearsett Scar.  The route from Stainforth over Smearsett Scar is steep in places and in some places a bit rocky, so for those not up for this an alternative may be taken on the footpath to the North of Smearsett Scar or the Dales Highway.   We will meet at Feizor and walk back  together to Langcliffe

 

Après-wander drinks will be at the Golden Lion in Settle.
