Emergence starting in Hurst Grange Park

Female tenerals were emerging from Long Bob in Hurst Grange Park today. I saw none yesterday, nor on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.

You can see the record by logging onto Living Record. For those of you who have not used Living Record before, point your web browser at http://www.livingrecord.net/ and apply to Join. When you get your email confirming membership (it's free!), login and press Enter Records with South Lancashire selected as the vice county. You'll see a big blob on the map just south of Preston.

Good to hear that dragonflies are at last emerging - I haven't seen any yet but did see good numbers of butterflies yesterday.

 

Hopefully people will use Living Record but just a reminder that our recording area includes West Lancashire (VC 60) north of the Ribble as well as VC59 South Lancashire (if I've got those the right way round!).
