1 male Erythromma viridulum. Small Red Eyed Damselfly. 

Towneley school pond, Burnley.

Same species also present today at Hesketh Golf Course, Southport (same pond where they were found by Les Brown a couple of years ago). 1 male and 1 tandem seen but this was the most cursory of surveys as we had to dash across the fairway and back between golf parties and the one bearing down on us was in carts, not walking.
