After commenting on a photo of a Large Red at Brockholes with a red stripe (already), I was told that one had been recorded there on 6th April.

A week before the previous record?

Yes,

Earliest I know about was on 13 April 2010.

Similarly, John Bannon's blues would be earliest for Azure (previously 20/4/06 or Common Blue 27/4/11)

Steve White.

Colin

The very early 6th April record was reported on the Brockholes Invertebrates Facebook group at the time. Attached are a couple of photos posted with that report.
