- Open House AnnouncementSaturday, August 23rd.

- Looking for a ride-on mower for activity areas.

Greetings:

We hope you will join us for an Open House on Saturday, August 23rd at LEV.  Directions.

Walking tour

Starting around 3:00 we will take you on a tour of the property and show off the various features that have been (and are being) developed here.

Hearing your stories

Following that we’d like to hear from you in a traditional listening circle.  What are your thoughts and activities re. community, buildings, food systems, your hopes and concerns about the future and other matters of interest.
We all have thoughts that relate to these and other themes.  It is always fascinating when people have an opportunity to share what is important to them.

Pot Luck supper

Bring a dish to share and we can feast and converse.  Starting around 6:00 or 7:00.

Music

If you play an instrument, bring it along and we could have music.

We need a lawn tractor:

We have a considerable area around the pond and in the lower field where we have been keeping the grass short, to deter insects and make it easier to move around.  Our lawn tractor died and we are looking for a new-to-us tool that can help us keep those areas usable.

Thanks for any leads.

Hoping to see you on the 23rd of August,

Yours, Mike & Claire

"In a cold climate, if a home was built without a heating system, it would be seen as incomplete.  As transport fuels become impractical, a home built without a food supply will be considered incomplete.  Such domestic ecosystems can be built for individual homes, for villages, or perhaps even cities.  All would benefit from secure local food production."
