Lanark Eco-Village (LEV) News

Greetings:
Our September Open House saw over 30 people on site over the course of the day.  Our plans were explained, and everyone in the listening circle was able to express their thoughts and feelings about their plans, community and the times we are living in.  Discussion followed and the day was then celebrated with a pot luck feast and much conversation.

Next Event
Several people have expressed interest in the Eco-Village project since the September event.  With a busy fall, we are not planning another full Open House.  We do however want to meet those of you who are interested in visiting or continuing the conversation.  If you are one of these, feel free to get in touch to arrange a convenient time to visit.

Pond Digging
The big news is that our reservoir-swimming pond has been dug.  It awaits only the Spring runoff and the activation of our solar water pump to keep it filled through the heat of Summer.  Pictures and commentary are at:

Indoor Space Available
It turns out that we have room available in the house if you’d be interested in joining us for a season or more.

Change Comes With a New Story
In the signature below are links to videos and an article by George Monbiot revealing how societies change.  The story of change is the same for each political shift as dominant visions rise, age and get corrupted.  Another renewal is due.  The story of fairness and environmental balance is making its way against the headwinds of the last fading order.  It is our challenge, ours and yours, to move it forward.

May you find strength for the effort.

Yours, Mike & Claire

"When we develop the right story, and learn how to tell it, it will infect the minds of people across the political spectrum."
