Greetings:

Next weekend, February 17 & 18, (10:00 am - 4:00 pm EST) there is a free Zoom conference on Collaborative Solutions for a Sustainable Future.  The schedule is posted here.

How is humanity to deal with climate change, plastic pollution, resource depletion, and conflict between nations?

Most issues are correctly dealt with by local governments, but when many countries are effected, a forum is needed to work out solutions without coercion.

The conference organizers, encourage youth advocacy on global climate policy.  They have been instrumental in establishing the International Criminal Court, the Land Mine Ban Treaty, and the Law of the Sea.  Presently they are promoting a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly where popularly elected representatives would work on issues, rather than just government appointees.

Collaborative Solutions for a Sustainable Future will take place virtually using Zoom.  Its schedule and invitation to register are posted at: 2024 World Federalist Conference

The series of events from 10:00am to 4:00pm (EST) on both days, will include several presentations, panels, a trivia session, and a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly simulation!  Note that the UNPA simulation will offer one participant a prize trip to Italy with travel, food, and lodging expenses covered by WFM-Canada and the Spinelli Institute.

For more information on the Conference, please visit the detailed webpage, or consult the program schedule.

The World Federalist Movement - Canada is a not-for-profit research, education and advocacy organization. Our programs cover Peace and Security, Global Democratization, Responsibility to Protect and Global Governance Reforms.
The virtual Conference is free and open to all members of the public around the world - register now by clicking here!

Organizers include WFM-Canada, the World Federalist Movement - Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP), Citizens for Global Solutions (CGS), and Democracy Without Borders (DWB).
