Greetings:

The formative vision of our 7th Generation Initiative is how easily healthy life can be sustained and how fulfilling such a life can be.  Such basic understanding can help any effort to improve human prospects.  The essence is relayed by these two short videos:

The Substance of Life:
A venerable experiment, which demonstrates that the primary components of life are abundant. (2 min. 58 sec.):
and
Long-Term Well-Being on Spaceship Earth:
How over time the substances of our bodies are thoroughly inter-mixed with the substance of all life. (2min. 37 sec.):

The topic of Life-Based Pursuits, introduced in the first video, expands into a call for economic change through the meme “More Fun, Less Stuff”*.

For many in our challenged world, it will be a great relief to realize that healthy life is not hard to maintain.  By securing long-term well-being at the fundamental level, the Earth can recover and our societies can heal.  We would then have ages to cultivate our legacy in the universe.

Canadians for a Sustainable Society engaged a whiteboard animation team to introduce their message:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KVm_IZjMm0&t  The medium is far more potent than any talking head.

With an introduction to the animators, we are negotiating to see if they could apply their magic to clearly present the themes above into a single presentation – a vision of sustainability without the down-side of Modern Techno-Industrial solutions which presently absorb huge amounts of money and natural resources.

Our inquiry to the whiteboard artists generated this response:

"I would love to help, but we are low on capacity, and need to prioritize any work we do pro-bono.  Animated videos tend to cost a couple thousand per minute or more generally need to have a budget, or it needs to fit really well into our pro-bono budget, unless we have idle hands around the studio.”

See another of their productions about the Columbia Ice Field.

We are raising funds to engage the animators in producing a video for us.

Donations can be made directly to our 7th Generation Initiative via Interac to:  morefunl...@web.net

In Canada, contributions of $50 or more can receive tax creditable receipts.

If you want to send a cheque, make it out to “World Federalist Foundation” and put “More Fun, Less Stuff” in the memo.

The World Federalist Foundation (WFF) has adopted our popular education program because it fits into their objectives of world peace and global ecological stability.  Noting that provinces seldom go to war with each other, World Federalists believe that when the nations of the world recognize we are all parts of one planetary community, we will be able to put war behind us and attend to a more just and sustainable order.

Perhaps you or someone you know would like (in-person or remotely) to attend their conference on June 3rd, 2023 about forming a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA) which could address nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament issues.  A UNPA would be elected by the peoples of the world in contrast to the present UN assembly which consists of political appointees.

* “More Fun, Less Stuff” is an ongoing program.  We invite your participation.
