Have you seen 192 Union since we finished it? Please reply and tell us
what you think.

How about 216 West Deaderick? We fixed the sill beam and completely
painnted it. We patched the hole in the gable end so we could still
have access to wiring and hvac later. We will put new fishscales back
in time. I heard someone say the patch was ugly, but if they
understand that it is for access and temporary, maybe it would be ok.
We are on the Historic Zoning Commission meeting for this month to ask
permission to tear off the very back room which was a third generation
addition build with very poor construction. we will ask them what they
think about the temporary patch.

We are just getting started on 203 West Deaderick. We had a backhoe
out this weekend to remove about a foot of dirt that had washed up to
the west foundation over the years, and we were able to remove an old
floor furnace near the sill that needs replacing. First we have to
bucket brigade dirt out of the frunace hole to the outside so we can
have enough clearance to work, but hey we have done this before. Not a
glamor job but it has to be done. We are on the Historic calander for
this house also to tear off all the one story jumble of stuff to the
rear. This area was porches with no foundations, enclosed, build
another porch, enclose, etc until there are eight areas in all.

Any women out there interested in helping with some hand demolition,
you know sledge hammers and pry bars, let me knot. It is better that
therapy, and cost less. of course men could use this stress reliver
also.
