Dear Mayor Gist,

I have always admired your drive to improve the welfare of those around you and protect our city from erosion. My first interaction with you several years ago when we worked to protect land along the Forked Deer River through the Greenbelt Conservancy gave me insight that you are less concerned with politics as usual and more interested in leaving Jackson / Madison County a better place to live and raise our families. These are the reasons when I read your quote “We need to maintain and revitalize our central city” I was reassured the master development plan is a symbol of progress for Jackson.

We realize you already know your first target for development is part of Lambuth Area Neighborhood. We are the happy home of the third largest homeowners association in the state and actively work to improve the safety, cleanliness and quality of life for the wide array of people that live within our boundaries. This can only be accomplished by being actively involved with our residents, our property owners and our public representatives. All of these facts being common knowledge we are very surprised we have not been approached by anyone that is being considered as a master developer for our input into the targeted area. We have a vested interest in the details and want to be involved. We hope that you will invite our participation before any decisions are concluded to what will become a permanent part our community.

Thank you for your service, support and vision for a greater Jackson.

Sincerely,

Scott Parish

President

Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association
