On behalf of the City of Jackson, the planning and design firm of Looney Ricks Kiss, Architects, is embarking upon a planning study for a designated area of Jackson for the recently established Jackson Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). You are cordially invited to participate in an upcoming Design Workshop for the Lambuth area planning district, to be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Lobby of the New Southern Hotel, 118 E. Baltimore St. in Downtown Jackson. The area of study is shown on the map, and includes Downtown, Lambuth University, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Lane College and other areas of central Jackson.

The Public Meeting will introduce the CRA Neighborhood Planning process, the design team, their initial observations of the study area, and will ask for YOUR input regarding what should be done to improve the neighborhood. Your input is vitally important to ensure we create a revitalization strategy that reflects the values and addresses the needs of the community. Please be sure to attend the Public Meeting, the first of several open Public Meetings to come over the course of the study.
