With a focus on gaming, ASUS has worked closely with WTFast to integrate our popular desktop service into the router itself. The WTFast Gamers Private Network (GPN) can lower latency and reduce packet loss for online gaming through the router, be it console or PC.
The free router client supports one device with GPN traffic limits and comes with access to all of the features that come with a paid, premium WTFast subscription. If you want to connect more than one device to the GPN, or use more GPN traffic, another subscription will be required.
Currently, the WTFast technology installed on the router is in Beta mode and only supports a list of selected games. However, we are in the process of updating the list periodically to support more games and features! Check out our Help page below to see which games are currently supported. If you wish to get access to the entire list of 1000+ supported games, you will have to opt for the standalone version of the WTFast premium subscription.
Gamers know the pains caused by latency between your PC and the gaming server. Lag, high ping, and packet loss turn your immersive gaming experience into a headache. Want to level up your gaming and avoid frustration?
WTFast provides you with a dedicated connection to your game's server for faster response times. SmartNet's cutting edge mesh technology gives your PC a strong and reliable WiFi connection. Our turbo charged Internet speeds give you the competitive edge to race to victory.
Optimize your network and enjoy lag-less gaming with lower latency, reduced ping, and minimized packet loss. Trust the best gaming network around- enjoy gaming like never before with WTFast. With over 1000+ games supported, everyone will have a game that can be enhanced by WTFast.
Currently, WTFast only supports Windows systems 7 or higher, and does not have an official Mac version available. However, Mac users can install Windows on their computer using Boot Camp to access WTFast.
Gaming with a regular VPN is limited, as game publishers have been known to disconnect users with encrypted/altered IP addresses to curb fraud and cheating. WTFast does not alter your IP address, which prevents disconnection from game publishers. It also reduces latency, lowers ping, and reduces packet loss for an overall enhanced gaming experience.
Ready to rise up the leader board? Conquer latency, ping, and lag today with WTFast Single for only $7.99 per month. Add up to 4 computers with WTFast Family for $15.99 per month.
The cutting-edge mesh router technology optimizes your gaming PC's WiFi connection to reduce lag, while the app allows you to monitor your Internet speeds, manage the devices connected to your network, and more. My next task was to see if I could safely fly with a bag attached to my arm in case I was able to grab it mid-flight. This was a huge unknown, since no one had ever done it before. I decided that the safest way to do this would be in a skydiving environment. I brought in professional wingsuit coach Scotty Bob Morgan and by the end of the week I felt completely confident that I could fly with a bag attached to my wing.
WTFast is the Gamers Private Network (GPN) who provides the best online gaming experience, with lower latency, reducing packet loss, minimizing ping, and optimizing the game connection from a router to a game server. It currently supports over 1000+ games and still increasing.
Hey, I understand that having support for WTFast might not be for everyone but I think it would be pretty amazing for us OCE gamers. I use it for connecting to US West servers which I find WTFast can be pretty helpful with. I did see another post requesting such a feature and there was mention that it MIGHT be considered at some point. Any updates?
Thanks for the suggestion! It's not something we've looked into as yet but I'm not going to rule it out entirely, I don't have experience with WTFast personally but I suppose if they were to provide OVPN configuration files, it may work with Hybrid VPN?
I dont know how Netduma designed the Hybrid VPN thing. The VPN connection is very stable using Hybrid VPN. But if I use the windows PC client on my PC, its unstable, and that's the case with all the many VPN's I've tried.
WTFast is a bit of smoke and mirrors and has been proven so. Go check out battlenonsense's channel on youtube where he goes deep into testing it, Chris is very knowledgeable regarding networking and is well respected. It is snake oil, pure and simple.
Just my 2cents but in my opinion, in places like Europe and the US where there are a lot of servers for games and generally the internet infrastructure is decent it won't make much of a difference. For places like the Middle East, Asia etc where there aren't many servers and the routing isn't as good it can lower the ping. I've seen users on the forum in the Middle East save around 30ms by using these types of services.
I can confirm. I save 170ms using Express VPN to connect to a middle east server (not the one hosted by AWS). But I use it for finding Bot lobbies successfully. Very few ISP's have good routeing to that server, and hence low player population. I get bot lobbies 80% times.
Here is the information in the more readable form (except for the last four as I figured you would probably get the idea by then). Yes, 4 shows 100% packet loss, so the connection dropped then. Also, in 5 the standard deviation is high (16.35 ms) which indicates a huge fluctuation in the signal. The flux column also shows large numbers, which indicates a large variance in the signal speed. Finally, there are a lot of hops just within the ISP, ie rows 2-8, and all this data is for the ISP itself, not the WTFast connection. In fact, that connection is the last one, and there you can see good numbers. Hope this helps.
There have been lots of user reports recently of internet connectivity issues on FiOS during prime time. I've personally not experienced any problems, but many other folks are reporting issues. Especially gamers. There is a very long thread over on dslreports.com about the issue. Some users are reporting improvements over the last few days.
Thanks for the responses. I am very confused now. I have WTFast telling me I have a terrible connection (see below) and others telling me everything is fine. What I do know, is that I get lag and disconncects while playing online game Final Fantasy XIV, whereas about 4 months ago, I did not experience such.

Take note that you are tracing WTFast.com's website, that is hosted on CloudFlare which is a large CDN provider. Please make sure you try tracing or running MTR/Pathping to the VPN or Tunnel server at WTFast's end, not their website.
From what I've read, it's not clear to me how WTFast can make any difference. They aren't running a separate network backbone or last mile links, so anything they can do is limited to the abilities of the underlying internet. In that situation, the only way to deal with jitter and packet loss is to add buffering, which increases latency. Exactly what you don't want in an online game.
Like the title, I was putting up with horrible ping for more than a year. I'm thinking about using ping reducer to make my experience more comfortable. But I read a lot of topics about how NCsoft banned VPNs users and ping reducing programs. I need a confirmation about this, in case getting a ban for unknowning. It would take days and a lot of effort for customer services to lift it.
