Excel sheets - import/export/data crunching

All,

Did anyone work on the excel sheets with frontend where one can import/export/data crunching later with the data uploaded.

Just wanted to check what  modules you have worked and challenges you have across it.

Do post here if you have work on any such project ?

I didn't work data import, but with data export from the frontend. 

Exposed Django Generic view API to serve a JSON; presented the same with aggrid tables, and export the presented data with the same grid API.
