I found a bunch of posts about connecting midi keyboards to Maschine but I am not clear on if I can just connect them via USB to my Mac and that's all I need to do to be able to play chords and leads in keyboard mode on the Maschine? Is it possible to have both Maschine mk3 and another midi keyboard both connected via USB and then use both together inside Maschine software?

I hope this doesn't come off as passive aggressive, but I suppose I'm stuck then. I've downloaded and installed it twice now, and both times, when I connect the keyboard to my Mac, nothing happens. I don't see anything in Audio MIDI Setup and I can't do anything in Logic Pro X.

I am trying to hook up a Connect to Yamaha HTR-3064 home theatre receiver so I can play TV sound over the wired surround sound speakers and Sonos Play1s in other rooms - I understand from other posts this is possible, but I have been unable to make it work despite a variety of attempts with various connections. Current connections are: 1. Cable box to HDMI3 port on receiver; 2. TV to HDMI1 port on receiver; 3. Analog out from receiver via RCA cables to Analog in on Connect.

Yes, you can use the Connect to play music from a device or steaming service to your Yamaha by connecting a left/right RCA cable between a RCA input on the Yamaha and RCA output on the Connect. You can also Group the Connect with other Sonos speakers.

Now I Have big Problem. I Need to connect it with my PC and I Don't Know How. When I Connect it through Scarlett Focusrite 18i8 External Soundcard my Adobe Audition CS6 Reads only Soundcard Mics and lines. It's not problem I'm Able to Record it through but It Reads my Mixpult as 1 Source and I need whole Mixpult to be connected with my PC not only as One Source. I Hope You Understand. I Need just to my Program reads all Inputs and Outs off Mixpult separative. Sorry for My English but I'm Really not good in it. Thanks for Replies.
God Bless Y'all

Try this:
From the specs, this console has a USB interface?
It looks like you might need to choose the clocks as a master or slave. You must only have 1 master, the rest must slave.
If you connect it into the Scarlett Focusrite 18i8 External Soundcard you need to choose which one is the the master or slave.

Look. I have connected Soundcard with Mix and PC. It works but My PC Reads only Scarlett and I Can't use Mixpult (Monitors;Separative Recording;etc.) that's why I Need to read all Channels off Mix in my PC. Now it reads only Soundcard Channels and puts. Yes This Mixpult is also Great for Live Recording but It's also Great choice in Studio recording. And with Manual is the biggest problem. It was never released in my Language so I'm confused in this.

The Yamaha you have, while capable of recording 2 tracks at a time through the current USB connection, is far better suited as a live console than it is for recording. Truthfully? It's not really a recording console, as professionals would consider a recording console to be.

These are both 16 channel consoles. The Presonus is more "digital" in its layout and design, the A&H has more of an "analog" layout... but both are able to interface with your computer through a Firewire connection,
(regardless of the one you choose, you'll need to have a FW card built into your current computer, or you'll need to add one) and each will allow you to record as many as 16 tracks at one time, and all of those would be on your DAW as their own separate /discreet tracks.

So, for example, if you had drums coming in through channels 1-8 on your mixer, - kick drum on 1, snare on 2, hi hat on 3, tom 1 on 4, tom 2 on 5, etc., these would end up as corresponding discreet tracks on your DAW... track 1 kick, track 2 snare, track 3 hi hat, track 4 tom 1, track 5 tom 2, etc... at which point you can mix each track independently, adding EQ, gain reduction, or effects, etc. to one track without having to do the same thing to another track. This is referred to as "discreet mixing" .... or what you are calling "seperativity".

If you are meaning external hardware that will enable you to record an extra 8 channels, then you should look at units such as the Presonus Digimax D8 or the Focusrite Octopre Mk II. These have 8 analog inputs with A-D converters and an ADAT output that would connect via lightpipe into the ADAT input on your Scarlett 18i8.

I've been trying to connect them without any luck. I've been using a twin MIDI to USB cable (In and Out MIDI inputs are the only available ports in the back of the keyboard) and I have been trying to install the driver from Yamaha. Sounds is still only coming from the keyboard and although the Macbook is recognising that the keyboard is plugged in, I am unable to get it working in Logic Pro X.

Yes, correct - it's basically all the same as previous versions. I don't know what you are using for hearing the output of Logic, but if it's your inbuilt speakers, or some speakers/headphones connected to your Mac, then Built In audio is fine. If you are using a separate audio interface, then you should have that selected instead of Built-in Audio.

If you *don't* get any notes recorded, then just in case you did your MIDI connections the wrong way around (I don't think so, but it might be worth trying just in case), try reversing the cables, and trying again to see whether notes get sent to the computer Ok... If not, it might be the cable isn't working properly, perhaps... Did you use this cable with your previous LP9 system?

I was wondering how to connect Yamaha HS5 5 inch Powered Studio Monitor Pair - Black + Yamaha HS8S 8 inch Powered Studio Subwoofer to Pc my budget is around $250. I was once recommended to use ether the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen or the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen.

The new receiver connects to the 5 GHz network immediately (checking on the device connections in the Nighthawk app), but I can't get the MusicCast network to set up. The receiver appears and disappears randomly from MusicCast, and is completely unusable. The MusicCast app is on my phone which is also connected to the 5 GHZ network.

I removed the new receiver from the Nighthawk network and connected my older RX-V479. It connects to the 2.4 GHz network and the system works better - but the setup and connections are SLOWWWW. I am now assuming the slowness is related to the app being on the 5 GHz network?

I gave up waiting for Yamaha to get back to me, and I didn't get much help from various forums, as I went ahead and set up the Linksys WRT1900ACS in wired bridge mode upstairs, connected to the new Nighthawk AC2100 Smart WiFi Router that I just bought through a switch and disabled the 2.4 GHz network on the Linksys. That pretty much solved all my problems, except for the money I spent on the Netgear MK62 mesh system that would not work. My phone even controls the MusicCast equipment when connected to the new 5 GHz network, so the problem must be that Yamaha MusicCast wants all the controlled equipment connected to the 2.4 GHz (or same network - but I can't test that as the older unit can't connect to 5 GHz) network. What a pain.

I just bought R-120SW subwoofer and I cant figure out how to connect it to my Yamaha R-S202BL receiver that has no dedicated sub output. My understanding is that I have to use speaker wire to connect the sub to the receiver just as I connect my speakers. If my understanding is correct, then I have no idea

The only way to connect a subwoofer to your 202 is through it's speaker terminals providing that the subwoofer also has speaker terminals. Otherwise you will need to swap out either the receiver or the subwoofer.

I want to use a Line 6 Relay G10 to enable my guitar to work wireless. So.... do I need to connect an instrument cable between a Yamaha THR1011 Wireless amp's INPUT JACK and the Line 6 Relay G10 receiver's AUDIO OUT JACK? The salesman seemed to think the Line 6 relay communicated wirelessly with the Yamaha THR but I can't get it to work without the instrument cable.

The Yamaha's documentation says "The THR-II Wireless can connect with the Relay G10T wireless guitar transmitter (made by Line 6) by wireless." It then refers me to the Line6 Relay documentation for hookup where it shows using an instrument cable. I was ready to chalk it up to the salesman being wrong until someone else told me they can work together without an instrument cable. So now Im confused. I cant get them to work unless I use an instrument cable. Can someone answer this question? Thank you.

The THR10 ii can connect to the G10 transmitter wirelessly. It has a wireless receiver built in. To pair the transmitter with the amp, just plug the transmitter into the amp's 1/4" input for 15 seconds so the amp can go through the channel selection process and set the transmitter to the correct channel.

This latest update provides a major advantage in that Spotify Connect streams to your system via Wi-Fi and not Bluetooth, offering better quality audio and a wider range, with fewer dropouts. Establishing a direct connection between your receiver and the internet means that your audio system streams music from Spotify directly, rather than via your phone, which instead acts simply as your remote control. By comparison, AirPlay (which also uses Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth stream music directly from your phone to the receiving device, which unfortunately also causes your phone battery to run down more quickly.
