I am a new user to Evernote, and have the same concerns. My notes use a huge sans-serif font on my Android device, and I need to be able to make it smaller for this to be functional for me. It is remarkable to me that this basic basic functionality is missing! It sounds like I need to be searching elsewhere for a workable app. Sigh. Otherwise I like the product.
There is some font-styling capability in the current Android app. Tap the A at the top of the screen to open a dialog with options for underline, italics, bold, super- and subscript, lists, indentation, etc. No font or size changing, unfortunately.
For each of the over 150 fonts in this book there are longer paragraphs in three different sizes. This allows you to judge the feeling and vibes of a font to determine whether this one is the right one for you. There are also general recommendations on its use, as well as bold and italic samples. For each font there are also different heading style samples, to see if this font is a good match for a heading in your works.
I am working with the font PT Sans Narrow, which only has regular and bold. Therefore, I need the browser to use faux italics when necessary. However, only non-webkit browsers are doing this. See this image:
P.S. I understand that faux-italics may not look the same or as good, but in this case, they are better than having no access to italics at all. Secondly, Google Webfonts is not an option due to its poor rendering in Chrome.
