We have some very exciting upcoming NYI Young Adult events and we want you to keep them in mind and start spreading the word! A flier for all of these events will be sent out soon to everyone! and just a reminder, Lamb's Teens: Fear Factor Night is this Friday @ 7pm (flyer attached), all are welcome and encouraged to come, that is if you think you are brave enough to withstand the fear!

Saturday June 19, 2010 @ 3pm - Walking tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art: "The Bible through Art: Examining artistic depictions of biblical texts"

 - This one of a kind event will be held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art where we will tour the Met's galleries and explore how artists depict biblical texts. Gratuitous admission to the Met will be provided!

Saturday July 10, 2010 @ 3pm - “Blueprinting Faith: Examining the relationship between architecture and faith” Talk followed by walking tour of the Lower East Side.

- The  Lamb's own architectural super-team, Plini and Roxanne, inform us on how faith relates with architecture and then take us on a walking tour of the churches of the Lower East Side.

Movies @ El Techo: The Lamb’s Summer Rooftop Film Series

On four Thursday evenings in the summer (July 15, July 29, August 12 & August 26) we will host rooftop film screenings at The Lamb’s. The films will be announced in the upcoming weeks. The films will start at 7:00pm and will be augmented with music, poetry and other artistic performances. More info coming soon! If you have any ideas for a film or documentary that can be shown during the film series let us know.

Saturday August 7, 2010 @ 3pm – “Queens of the Kingdom: Understanding the roles of women in the Bible and the church” – Panel and discussion. Refreshments will be served.

- Panelists Pastor Jeannette Salguero, Raquel Casillas, Elizabeth Fernandez & Alicia Wu take us on a journey as we examine the image of women in the bible and Christendom.

Did you know that 1.4 million New Yorkers live in homes without enough food to eat?

Help The Lamb's Launch The Lamb’s Emergency Food Program, slated for August 21st, by donating your canned and boxed food.
