Dear TTB related projects and groups,
Apologies for any cross-posting.
Lambeth was the first borough in London to declare a climate emergency in Jan 2019 setting and ambitious target of being net-zero-carbon by 2030. We're holding this
free event at Open Project Night, 6.30-9.00 on Monday 25 November, to come up with ideas for the Citizens' Assembly to choose from. We'd really like your input so bring your vision and knowledge on Monday. We will focus initially on Lambeth's operations breaking into groups covering buildings, housing, energy, transport and governance and procurement (inc waste). But nothing is out of scope as Lambeth has committed to help the rest of the borough transition urgently to zero-carbon and you are welcome to convene around any topic. You may want to want to see Lambeth's current
'carbon reduction plan' (11 pages) as a starting point. For inspiration see TTB's
visions from our 10th birthday and
earlier visions from our Great Unleashing.
This is how TTB set up its working groups back in 2008. We aim to reconvene those groups as there is energy. We are working with Extinction Rebellion Lambeth which already has 26 working groups! There's room for a few more especially focusing on 'inventing the solutions'.
Please let your networks know. Sign up for your
free ticket and share the
facebook event. Invite any visionary wise-heads you know.
All power to our collective elbows.
