I tell ya, it's true. I have been on the purple dungeon searching like
mad and I cannot find him. I have already dispatched Eris and have all
the other books, but I cannot find this guy anywhere. Is he just
really that hidden or is this a possible glitch? Any help anyone can
provide would be greatly appreciated.

Have you left that dungeon during your search procesa? If not, try to
do this and then come back to that dungeon again. As dungeons get
recreated everytime, you should be able to find him this time.
In general, he should be near some crypt (as all unique enemies). If
he really does not appear, tell me again, because then it is probably
a bug (I never stumbled upon before).

the game you're using (Windows, MacOS or Linux)? If you still have a
save game prior to the crash, you should send it to me (mario.donick
at live.de ).

I will send you my SAV file now and I think I may have figured out the
issue. I have the game on both my Windows laptop and my Linux desktop.
I have been playing the game at work on my laptop and then
transferring the SAV file via ftp server to my desktop. Maybe playing
the same game on two different builds caused it to flip the way it
did. I will start a new game on both computers and play them
through.

Hm, interesting. Usually, this should not make a difference. But
perhaps in either the Windows or the Linux version one of the graphic
files used by the game is corrupted or missing (then it might only be
an archive error).
