Grouping based on multiple properties

I need to group my collection on 2 levels to be precise.
First level is a simple grouping based on a single property, but the second level of grouping is based on three properties instead of 1. Is it possible to achieve this?
and then the end structure really is
{key:key, numChildren:groupedData.size(), value:groupedData, key:key1, numChildren:groupedData1.size(), value:groupedData1, ........}
