Hi LAMBA leaders, riders, racers, and trail builders:
There are two big events coming up in June for leaders in local mountain bike advocacy.
1. IMBA TCC Visit to Whiterock Conservancy, June 4-7
This is a combined effort between LAMBA and CITA and happens to fall on National Trails Day! Please
register so food and material needs can be determined. This will be the first opportunity to ride at Whiterock and it sounds like the Omaha/Council Bluffs group is planning to bring their entire board. There is camping on site in addition to modern accommodations. Please contact Whiterock for more details. Whiterock is planning some fun social events like bonfires for the weekend, so it is an event you will not want to miss!
Even if you have attended a TCC visit before, each visit is different and you will learn something new. This is also a new crew and a brand new place to ride in Iowa! If you have NEVER attended one, you need to, especially in a leadership role (you know who you are). The event is free.
Please also share with local land managers as we have a wonderful land manager presentation for Friday, which is again, free.

This year the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest regions are joining forces to present the IMBA Great Midwest Summit, June 12-14, in one of IMBA’s most recent Bronze Level Ride Centers, Marquette, Michigan.
Join advocates, land managers, and industry representatives from across the regions to engage in chapter leadership discussions, learn new ways to involve local bicycle industry in trails efforts, and ride Marquette’s trails. There will be ample opportunity to share and learn from experts, chapter leaders, and fellow advocates. Friday will feature a land manager day and Travel Marquette is working with IMBA to host an outdoor/demo day on Sunday.
Bring the whole family, or plan your guys trip for this weekend, as there are many activities in Marquette and the greater Upper Peninsula for all ages. Include a trip to IMBA’s Silver Level Ride Center, Copper Harbor, and an epic summer vacation has nearly planned itself!
Again, please register so we can have food and materials ready!
And, if you aren't excited yet, watch this.
