Ken Roy of Progressive Edge and All Hallow's Eve

Hi all.
Just wanted to share with everyone that we are having Ken Roy from Progressive Edge come out from Wisconsin and install and customize his ShipManager program here late this month. In our setup of the visit I was curious if anyone would be interested in having a small user group session (i.e. sales pitch) with Ken on his wares like the ShipManager and some other programs and then our normal [non-Made2Manage sponsored] user-group meeting. He’ll be on-site on Wednesday Oct 30th and we could have the session on the 31st. I know, Halloween.
And I know Made2Mangle just sent out a User Group meeting schedule just as we formulated this question, but like they say, Timing is Everything! J
If there is any interest, let me know and we can arrange from there. Btw, this is a totally un-solicited, non-compensated, completely open communication that has no benefit for me or my employer except for the side benefits of getting others involved in open, user-centric M2M meet-ups, discussions, and trade-offs, in our facility. Any benefit for Ken is strictly between you and him.

IT would really help if we can look at his software as we are intrigued. The other one we looked at was Digital Shipper.

I’m sure he’ll demo the Shipping software and the others but for us, this shipping software seems like a real good fit as we have a lot of Sales Orders and for the shipping clerk to try and keep up, it’s a real challenge. Plus we palletize product and this software also allows him to create “containers” of the product and M2M shippers.
I’m attaching a screen shot of what we have installed right now and if can see it, it’s split in two sections, unassigned shippers and shipments. Unassigned shippers are standalone shippers in M2M not assigned to a pallet (or “shipment”) and then the shipments of shippers assigned to a shipment.
So then you can “close” the shippers in a shipment, in masse, from the subsequent screen while assigning pallet info like gross and net weights, generate a BOL’s, etc. He’s customizing our install but in general, this is the program. Based on the response, so far three companies, he’s agreed to stay the extra day to demo so anyone else interested, is welcome to participate. And with enough users here, a quorum (or are we more of a “gaggle”?) is found!
