Good Day Sisters and Brothers, I am sending this to invite you to the ceremonies, which are being held in the journey of the closure of this cycle of time.  We would be grateful if you would extend the invitation extensively to the people who wish to participate.

THE CLOSURE AND BEGINNING OF A NEW SUN

A CALL FROM THE MAYA COUNCIL OF THE NEW SUN

Formed at the 11th Linguistic and Cultural Gathering of the Maya Nation, held in Machaca, Punta Gorda, Belize, The Maya Council of the New Sun sends out this call.

Before the closure and the beginning of a New Sun, on December 22, 2012, according to the mathematical astronomical calculations elaborated by our ancestors, The Maya Council of the New Sun, invites all people, children, young people, adults who live by the ocean, in the countryside, and in the cities, and the wise Ajq’ij – Daykeepers – of distinct specialties according to the sacred calendar.

                                                            THE OBJECTIVE

The objective of this call is to synchronize in 40 ceremonies, all our concentration and energy to fortify life, peace and spiritual union with the Mother Earth and the Cosmos, to be spiritually and energetically united in the “Celebration of an End of a cycle which will close on the 21st of December of 2012, and the Beginning of a New Era” on the 22nd of December 2012.

                                                            THE SPIRIT

This invitation is made with a profound respect for all the cultures and ways of looking at the world.  We recognize that we are all part of an evolution toward a collective knowing, a new rebirth of the consciousness and superior wisdom.

                                                              THE MEANING

This is a very special moment in the history of humanity.  This is the moment in that everyone, government, civil society, and each human being in particular, are called to unite in one voice, and only one direction.  If you cannot come to the place of these ceremonies, you can do ceremony at any close ceremonial center to you, or you can do this in your home.  In these ceremonies, each participant must bring their offerings, and food and drink to share.

The ceremonies are held every 20 days.  The next one is on October 31, 2011.

WINTER SOLSTICE 2011  -  depart Dec. 18 – Sunday      return Dec. 27, Tuesday

If you want to stay for 2 weeks, this is a most excellent time of the year!!!

SPRING EQUINOX 2012 – depart March  18 – Sunday  return March 27, Tuesday

SUMMER SOLSTICE 2012 – depart June 18 – Monday  return June 27, Wednesday

AUTUMNAL EQUINOX 2012 – depart Sept. 18 – Tuesday  return Sept. 27, Thursday

WINTER SOLSTICE 2012 – departs Dec. 18 – Tuesday  return Dec. 27, Thursday
If you wish to stay for two weeks, this will be a most special time!!!

Cost of 10 day journey is $2200, all inclusive except for air fare. Includes hotel, food, ground transport.  Does not include tips or alcohol.
