We have a new interest group for Warangal as part of PFL's Constituency Promotion Project (CPP). Currently, it will focus on Wardhannapet constituency. The LSP team there is led ably by Jetti Ravi Kumar. Regular reports on the work of LSP Wardhannapet will be available on the new website here: http://loksattawardhannapet.wordpress.com/

Jetti Ravi Kumar persevered through tough times for Lok Satta in Telangana, and was able to retain a good base of cadre and supporters with his leadership. In recent months, with encouragement from PFL supporters, he is leading a planned campaign to strengthen LSP in Wardhannapet. These public activities are based on expanding on his earlier work and taking up new and important issues that will also benefit the party politically.

Objectives and approach of CPP interest group:

* Building LSP organizational strength

- to emphasize and follow-up with ground leaders to have major focus on establishing party leaders/committees/offices/events at mandal, ward levels all over constituency

- work on having internal 'representatives' for mandals, important wards etc. to track party cadre/activity/follow-up/prospects there

* Promoting increased level of public activity

- establish LSP 'presence' in local eyes/minds

- target youth, women

- via funding and coordination

* Publicizing activity/achievements

- show LSP agenda in action, beat "all talk, no work" narrative

- websites, Facebook etc.

* Promoting the LSP leadership

- wider publicity, mitigate "no leaders other than JP" narrative

- recognition for work on building party, extensive ground work

* Victory in elections

- 2014 Assembly elections

- Municipal elections

- all of the above oriented to contribute to this victory
