24 Hours Fasting in Support of Surajya Movement - Saturday

This weekend Southern California will join the Surajya Movement along with several cities across the United States. In support of Surajya Movement in India, and in support of the three day fast of Dr Jayaprakash Narayan and others in Hyderabad, several Indian in Los Angeles and Orange County are observing 24 hour fast. People who are fasting will gather at at Civic Center Park in Irvine this Saturday at 2:30 PM to break the fast. We invite you to join us along with your family and friends. The park has child play area, ample free parking amoung other facilities.

Surajya Movement is supported by all political parties and citizens from all sections. The demands of the movement are 1) Strong Lokayukta to curb corruption 2) Right to basic services and 3) More power to the local governments
