Buickhas filled the gap separating the Envision and the Enclave with a new crossover named Envision Plus. Launched at the Shanghai auto show, the three-row people-mover is scheduled to go on sale in China later in 2021.
The plus-sized Envision stretches 190.7 inches long, 74.1 inches wide, and 66.7 inches tall, figures that make it around eight inches longer and two inches taller than the regular Envision. It's also a full 14 inches shorter, four inches narrower, and three inches lower than the Enclave, which is the biggest crossover in the Buick range.
Designers didn't settle for stretching the Envision's wheelbase. They gave the Plus a more upright front end characterized by a taller grille, a flatter and longer roofline, and a redesigned rear end accented by a strip of bright trim that connects the lights. Only photos of the upscale Avenir trim (shown above) have been published so far.
Power for the Envision Plus comes from a turbocharged, 2.0-liter EcoTec four-cylinder engine fitted with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. Bolted to a nine-speed automatic transmission, the turbo-four is the same basic engine found in the American-spec Envision, where it develops 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, but figures for the Plus weren't released. Front- and all-wheel-drive models will presumably be available.
Buick will release pricing information closer to the model's on-sale date. As of writing, the Envision Plus has only been announced for China, where it will be built, but unverified reports claim it will arrive in American showrooms before the end of 2021. We've reached out to the company, and we'll update this story if we learn more.
Buick no longer sells sedans in America, but it remains present in that segment on the Chinese market. In addition to the Envision Plus, it unveiled a model named Verano Pro developed specifically for China, built locally, and aimed at relatively young buyers. At launch, motorists will be asked to choose between the regular sedan and a sportier-looking variant that wears the storied GS emblem. Technical details are vague; all we know is that the standard Verano Pro is powered by a turbocharged, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. However, the firm pointed out both new sedans are available with dual 10.25-inch screens that occupy a good chunk of the real estate on the dashboard.
Kevin Chao joins Jeff Thompson in the Blind Abilities Studio to share with us his experience with the Envision Glasses from LetsEnvision.com plus the Aira App experience on the envision glasses. Kevin also gives us a peak at the Dot Pad, a tactile pad that connects to voice over and conveys tactile representations that one can explore. Along with 20 cells of Braille this tool gives Kevin an understanding that he could not receive before.
Learn how Kevin uses the Envision Glasses, employs the Aira service through the Aira App installed on the envision Glasses and how the Dot Pad is giving Kevin a bigger picture of understanding through tactile imagery.

I would want it for like low branches or you know, anything like that. Just for protection. Like some people wear baseball caps so that hits something first, or sometimes glasses help when you brush up against a tree or something.
That was the game changer for me. It was around the time, the summer conventions and the preview of Aira talking about them coming to the Envision Glasses. So after I heard about that and Envision made some announcements and changes as well.

We welcomed over 6,000 architects, designers, educators, and professionals from 140 countries to ENVISION 21, a three-day event packed full of insightful sessions and enthusiastic conversations with the global Enscape community.
Attendees heard about future plans and got a glimpse into new product features in the works. We also heard from 45 guest speakers on their use of Enscape and tips to help improve design workflows and visualizations.
During the pandemic, the basic idea of connecting our users at an event was born. We asked customers what they would like to see at a virtual event and created ENVISION 21. The engagement and energy of the participants and the vibes spread by our guest speakers helped create something quite incredible.
During the Keynote, Christian revealed our plans to release Enscape for Mac in the first half of 2022. For those interested in staying up-to-date with information regarding our support for Mac, sign up for updates here.
Wolfram started his presentation by taking us on a tour of the modern-looking GRAFT studio in Berlin, Germany. He talked us through some of the trends and challenges the AEC industry and wider society is currently dealing with and how architecture can be used as a tool to solve these.
Wolfram also spoke about the importance of using real-time technology like Enscape to allow for quick reactions and responses, to enable us to communicate the future and help clients and decision makers to envision the future.
Petr went on to explain how we see Enscape as a design tool and a design companion that can be with you every step of the way to help you answer different questions as your design matures. Petr also stated that for us to impact day-to-day design, then we must provide a tool that is easy to use, intuitive, and something that people want to use. And this is what we will continue to focus on as we evolve the product.
Petr shared our industry-driven approach to development and the process we go through to identify and decide which features make their way into Enscape. So if you ever wondered how we decide which features to develop, be sure to watch this session on the ENVISION platform.
During ENVISION, we were fortunate to welcome a number of external guests. In our Customer Corner, Head of Integrated Practice, Roderick Bates, hosted enlightening conversations with two Enscape customers.
First up was Michael Drobnik, BIM Principal and Associate at Herzog & de Meuron, a large international architectural practice consisting of almost 500 collaborators, including two Founders, five Senior Partners, 10 Partners, and 41 Associates. Founded in 1978, they have offices in Switzerland, London, New York, Hong Kong, Berlin, and Copenhagen.
In this wide-ranging conversation, Michael Drobnik shared details about the tools and methods that drive design workflows at Herzog & de Meuron, offering valuable insights into the key ingredients for successful architectural projects. Check it out.
Florian comes from a family of architects who have always been early technology adopters, understanding the importance of embracing digitalization in architecture. They have been using Enscape since the beginning.
1. Envision has entered into a restructuring support agreement with key stakeholders supported by more than 60 percent of the company's $7.7 billion in debt obligations. The company expects that support to continue to grow in the coming days.
2. As part of the restructuring plan, Envision Physician Services and AmSurg, which owns and operates ambulatory surgery centers, will operate as two separate businesses. AmSurg will acquire the ASCs held by Envision for $300 million plus a waiver of intercompany loans held by AmSurg.
4. Envision said the Chapter 11 filing will allow it to effect the transactions included in its restructuring plan and facilitate long-term growth opportunities by reducing its debt and boosting its capital structure.
6. Envision cited various challenges that contributed to its financial position, including declining patient volumes, payers excluding Envision clinicians from their networks and not providing adequate reimbursement for care, the implementation of the No Surprises Act, rising inflation and the national clinician shortage.
Having to call in to cancel my account. Unfortunately, I have appointments and was not available to talk to [sensitive content hidden]so my account was not closed. Called on the 11th of September and was told he was not available. No problem could you cancel my account. I don't want to be charged for something I am not going to use. Gave the reason but I still had to talk to [sensitive content hidden], why? When would be a good time for him to reach me. Gave a time but did not receive a call back. Not a problem, I just expected my account to be closed (N0 confirmation that my account was closed) Called again, I had to give them a time to for him to be able to follow up with me. Are you kidding? If I want to cancel my account, talking to him will not change that. I can't believe they will and did hold this account hostage. I realized my trial is almost up I AM BUSY and decided to email the support department so I could verify my request. Finally, a response from [sensitive content hidden]questioning, why I want to close my account? As if the notes from the other two were not sent to him plus the email. Wow! I have the emails... Sum it all up, I never received an email stating my account was closed. I don't know if they charged the card on file. My bank decided to upgrade my card and they changed my cc info after I had already entered the old cc info. I don't have to worry about my account being charged.
Not customer support, waiter hours for not help or attitudes by a few when you need help. Never know what money was coming in from credit card company(numbers rarely match). Now that I have cancelled my account with them, giving the a sixty day notice they still continue to charge me and have not refunded the money. I sign a year contract and they are charging me now for 13 months. The service is not designed for a spa. Too many work around with no support. Suggestion go no where. Don't waste your time or money.
